We are contemplating the cauldron of hexagram number 50 from the I Ching.
Thank you so much for joining me.
My name is Helen.
Together let's take a few breaths in and out.
And as you do so,
Slowly breathing in.
Feel the air nourishing you.
And as you gently exhale.
Feel your body relaxing.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
And continuing in a gentle rhythmic fashion of breathing.
Set the intention to maintain comfort and calm.
In your body and your mind.
And any time you feel distracted or any tension wants to resurface,
Simply Pause the recording and return to the break.
And then return to the recording when you are ready.
It's wise to take your time.
With a process such as receiving a transmission from the I Ching's ancient teaching.
When we rush,
We can miss.
Not only information that is shared,
But also our own inner voice.
So with the body grounding down and the breath slowly moving in and out.
We're going to set our intention now.
So please connect with your heart or heart center.
And repeat with me.
I trust.
The wisdom I am receiving from this ancient teaching.
Along with my own inner guidance.
Is aligned with my highest good.
And for the greater good of all.
Let's take a breath into that as we reaffirm with the words I trust.
Exhale and once more focusing on relaxing.
And trusting.
Just allow whatever comes through for you.
To be authentically present with you.
Even if it seems like nothing is coming through from your own insights.
The process is happening and can sometimes take some time.
For the awareness in the subconscious to rise into the consciousness.
Notice what stands out for you from this reading.
And take only that.
When this transmission of Hexagram 50 shows,
It is a call to tend to one's cauldron.
And the cauldron was often known as the hearth of the home.
So it's where the fire is,
Where the nourishment is.
Where people gather around to receive and to give.
And at such occasions.
There is both material and spiritual sustenance available.
And material is not only survival.
Material.
It is educational.
It is also referring to creativity.
The arts.
So those is a time to.
Really look into all areas of life.
And ensure that all are nourished.
And supportive of you.
And also that you are nourishing those who you care for.
So while we might start by considering vital needs first,
It is also important to consider the other aspects of life.
Where can you bring in more beauty?
Are you mentally stimulated enough?
How often are you getting to enjoy artworks or music or perhaps even creating yourself?
Do you feel it is enough?
Or not,
Or maybe too much.
And what about socializing?
Is your social life enjoyable?
Is it nourishing for you?
What can you do?
To bring harmony and joy there.
And then.
.
.
Your spiritual self.
Is there something you can do to open your heart more?
To be able to give and receive love.
As well as maintain loving boundaries at the right time in the right way.
This teaching is directing us to great progress and success.
And it's important to balance the nourishment and well-being of all areas of life.
In order for wisdom.
And fruitfulness.
To transpire.
So notice for yourself those areas.
That you feel are balanced.
Well and nourished.
And then take note of those which need more or perhaps less attention.
And consider the first easy step that you could take.
With one or maybe more of those areas that are needing balancing.
And what could this first step be?
And now commits.
To that first step,
When.
Will that take place?
In order to keep these fires burning,
We need to tend to them.
And fire is one of the elements that shows up in this hexagram.
It's in the upper trigram with wind in the lower trigram.
In other words,
Wind is feeding and nourishing the fire,
Keeping it alive,
Keeping it burning and radiating and shining.
Just like when we use our own breath to Encourage your fire.
The breath used to be known as spirit.
So if we apply this understanding here and ask of ourselves,
Where is my spirit?
Needed more or needed more effectively perhaps.
Take a moment to reflect and honor what came through for you in response to this message.
Breathing deeply in as acknowledgements and exhaling to create some space.
We're now going to receive the interpretation from the I Ching.
On the imagery that this hexagram of yin-yang lines forms.
So the I Ching says,
In the trigrams we have word below fire.
And just a little side note here,
The wind element is part of the wood element.
So we have wood below fire and this becomes the fire below a large cauldron.
The hexagram's physical shape suggests the cauldron,
With the bottom line as the legs,
The three solid lines as the vessel's body.
And the next two lines the handles.
And the top line the lid or cover.
The cauldron is at the heart of the house and the source of all nourishment for the household.
Material.
And spiritual.
When the cauldron is replete,
Then all is in harmony and well-being.
This hexagram is joined with hexagram number 49.
Which talks about skinning.
Or change.
So looking at these two teachings in succession.
We can understand that inner change is necessary before we move on to bringing great and beautiful and necessary balance to all areas of life.
So if you are still needing to perform some inner change for yourself in order to move forward into the new,
Then please consider listening to Hexagram 49 which you will find in the Itching playlist.
At the bottom of the profile page of Helen Hansen.
In closing,
Some final words from the I Ching.
Living in harmony with oneself and with others is the way to the light of wisdom.
Which the wise man uses to illuminate the world.
