Kindness Meditation: 10-Minute Perspective Reset & Reframe
"Life Is Kind" Though we are strangers, we are kindred spirits. We are here in the name of our hearts. Let us take time to discover the kindness of both the life you are living, and the life within you.
Script
Today,
Unlive awake.
Life is kind.
Though we are strangers,
We are kindred in spirit.
There is no difference between us,
We are the same.
We are here in the name of our hearts,
In the name of opening,
In the name of unstitching what has over time grown closed within.
We are each here in the name of reuniting with our soft centers.
It is the place we are most alive,
Most accepted,
Most whole.
It is where we seek refuge from the weight of the world,
The quiet piece of grass we can come to sit with our godliness.
We are all here in this space,
Learning to heal what was accidentally scarred and broken.
We are here in some sense whether aware of or not to say,
I know,
I understand,
To all that rattles relentlessly in our inner queries.
I know this life is not always easy.
I know it comes with a tremendous amount of betrayal and hardship and misunderstanding of spirit and self.
I know when you are most soft in the need of being held and understood,
You perhaps were not.
That when you were most soft and vulnerable,
Your heart was maybe hurt instead of held.
We all carry the same scars knotted over the soft animals hidden in the core of our innermost selves.
None of this was intentional,
Not one single misdeed or harshness.
Behind all inflicted anger and pain is a trembling fear,
An accidental protection mechanism placed over top of our tender hearts.
We lash out from fear and hurt in place of love.
We are doing what has been shown to us,
Modeled by those before us caught in their unheard parts and pains.
This is the universal pain we are each working at lifting up and out from the tissues it has lodged itself in.
We are endeavoring to heal our universal heart.
By being here in this place to sit in the center of our untouched beauty,
We are bringing what has been unconsciously hurt into the light of our healing presence and acceptance.
This is why we meditate,
To create space to recalibrate,
To remember.
We have each been guided into our depths by an inner voice and longing.
Underneath the knots and the noise sits a loving,
Unaffected presence and universal heartbeat,
Leading us each to this same place.
Take a moment to let this fully absorb.
Even in our greatest despair,
Even in our most gutted places,
We are not just held but uplifted,
Urged,
Encouraged,
Shown the truths underneath it all.
No matter the size of pain,
There is a stillness,
A place of deep love always trying to lift you above the unconscious pain you are forced to feel.
Close your eyes.
Enter the darkness and peace that is within you at all times.
Enter the rest and relief of your internal wilderness,
The home of your healing.
Connect with your breathing for a moment.
Feel all your energy pulling you through your seat bones down into the earth.
And begin to look for that piece of you that led you here to yourself.
That piece of you that holds you when you arrive here.
The piece of you that opens to you no matter the mud on your clothes.
If you have yet to come to know this part of you,
If you have never come to meet this gentle heart within your center,
Open your palms out in front of you facing toward the sky and reach out to meet your essence.
Let it fill your palms and spill into you.
Hold source for a moment with love and honor and gratitude.
Then smooth away any tensions and pain.
Allow it to love you.
Receive its love.
Breathe in and breathe out.
This is within you no matter where life has led you.
This is within you radiantly,
Unconditionally,
Eternally.
Receive your given light and let it remind you of the goodness,
The greatness,
The beauty,
The kindness,
The generosity of your own being.
The source we were all born as and born from.
This place of acceptance and love shows to us that no matter the circumstance,
There is an energy of virtuosity and love holding us,
Supporting us,
That gently whispers over our wounds,
I know,
I understand.
The great love at your center is the truth of the universe.
It is kind,
It is loving,
And it is working to always remind us of this.
Be careful not to fall into the weary place of deep suffering and inertia.
Look always for that piece of you that is reaching out and offering a remembrance to you.
Look for the sunbeam that landed on your face right before you grew too cold,
The bird that playfully crossed into your line of sight,
That wind that rattled you awake,
The penetrating gaze of a child yet worn with worry and fear,
Those few breaths in the morning where you cannot remember what the day before.
This is how the grace of life speaks to you.
Oh no,
I understand,
Dear one,
I know,
I understand that this road we are all on at times feels full of peril and drought,
But I am here to remind you that it is not.
I am here to remind you of the loving undercurrent below your feet.
I am here to remind you of the generosity and kindness of all we live beside.
I am here to remind you of the voice that has led you here,
The voice that knows all of this already,
The voice that is helping give to you all that was not given to you when you needed it most.
The great beauty of this mystery is leading us to our hearts.
This is why we are here.
We have grown tired of living under the weight of our restricted spirit.
Allow yourself to be restored by the love and compassion that has led you to this moment.
Engage often and completely with the relief being offered when you take the time to arrive here inside of yourself.
Know there are countless others working to do just as you are,
And for a moment,
Please be reminded of the tremendous beauty of souls and spirit and life.
Remembering this will keep us afloat and encourage a world in the future to behold rather than fear.
The heart always wins.
Let us come to know this as truth.
Let us come to know this as home.
Let us come to know this as our place of healing and the place we forever choose to operate from as we move through our life.
There is nothing more gracious to come to know and understand than the kindness operating underneath it all,
The kindness operating within you,
The kindness that is this life you are living.
