One of the things we know when there's a lot of fear is that our bodies are tighter.
Sometimes our hearts are tighter too,
Our mind.
And as we begin this together,
We could just notice what it is we're bringing in.
And we could go to the tightest part of our body and let that release a bit.
For some of us,
We're clenching our teeth,
Others we're holding our breath.
You might be tense through the neck and shoulders.
As we're scanning the body,
Just to notice what is the tightest,
What's the place in your body that's the hardest.
See if you could take a minute there,
Really let that soften.
I know that some of us here are very busy and might be working with overwhelm at work,
The demands that are on us.
Others of us have a bit more spare time or maybe we have a lot more spare time suddenly.
And maybe that's just kind of what we,
Our normal life is,
We have a lot of spaciousness around time.
But that would be a different environment internally.
And what we all have in common is a disruption.
It's not business as usual.
We have more fear in our body and our minds.
And if we were to take our life as a big picture and notice what's going on in our mind,
And if we think about the last several days,
Things were very different in the world a week ago than they are now.
And then withdraw your attention from all of that.
Let all of that be waves or ripples or crashing on the surface of your mind.
Leave it all there and let yourself come deeper into the stillness of the mind,
Stillness of the body that's not affected by the energy of fear.
It might be the heart center.
You might be visualizing a warm lake with waves on the top and calm underneath.
Of course,
It's none of those really.
But let's try to touch into that.
Leave behind the chaos of the world right now and the fear in our body and touch into stillness.
.
And if the mind pulls you back withdraw your attention from the mind again.
Let your attention focus on whatever it is that's still in you.
Let all the chaos play out on the surface.
Bring your attention deeper.
And from this place of stillness notice if you are okay.
Not tomorrow or next week,
But right now.
I wish your experience am okay right now.
And it's very likely the mind might come in to express its opinion and withdraw your attention from that again and back into this stillness.
And then when you're ready,
Open your eyes.
