In the Himalayan tradition there are many practices in the subtle body that lead us to a state of yoga nidra of deep rest and alertness.

With any practice like this a deep shavasana resting practice it's important that you don't have to move your body during the practice.
See if you can get yourself comfortable and supported on the floor that you're going to be warm enough during the practice.
If you need a blanket or a pillow arrange yourself now so that you can be comfortable and still and if you need to move your body do that and come back into resting.
