In the Himalayan tradition there are many practices in the subtle body that lead us to a state of yoga nidra of deep rest and alertness.

Blue star 61 points is one of them.

With any practice like this a deep shavasana resting practice it's important that you don't have to move your body during the practice.

See if you can get yourself comfortable and supported on the floor that you're going to be warm enough during the practice.

If you need a blanket or a pillow arrange yourself now so that you can be comfortable and still and if you need to move your body do that and come back into resting.

Be aware of your whole body from head to toes,

Toes to head.

Let yourself settle into the support of the floor.

Notice your breath.

Let your breath be even and continuous and relaxed.

As we move through the points some people have a visual mind and they'll visualize the blue star,

Brilliant blue-white light.

Other people have more of a felt sense not so much the visual.

However it comes is fine there's no need to struggle with it or to worry about however it is that it's showing up.

Bring your attention from point to point as directed.

Be aware of your whole body from head to toes and the space your body is occupying.

Bring your attention to your eyebrow center.

Visualize a brilliant blue-white star at the eyebrow center.

Throat center,

Blue star.

Right shoulder joint,

Blue star.

Right elbow joint,

Blue star.

Right wrist joint,

Blue star.

Tip of the right thumb,

Blue star.

Tip of the right index finger,

Blue star.

Tip of the right middle finger,

Blue star.

Tip of the right ring finger,

Blue star.

Tip of the right little finger,

Blue star.

Right wrist joint,

Blue star.

Right elbow joint,

Blue star.

Right shoulder joint,

Blue star.

Tip of the throat,

Blue star.

Left shoulder joint,

Blue star.

Left elbow joint,

Sensing the energy,

The light.

Keep your attention focused in the space.

Let your mind be awake and alert.

Deeply rested through your body and mind.

Notice the space your body is occupying.

The smooth,

Effortless flow of breath.

The 61 points in the body.

Allow yourself to rest here for as long as you'd like.

I really enjoyed this. The voice is very pleasant, but I found it energizing rather than relaxing. Seemed to heighten my alertness. Later when I went through the 61 points on my own it put me to sleep. Either way very helpful. Thank you.
