Start by sitting or laying comfortably and beginning to breathe deeply in through your nose and out through your mouth with an audible sigh,
Releasing any stale air and allowing new fresh air to fill your lungs and your heart and body and mind.
And on your next inhale,
I want you to breathe in as much air as you can and hold your breath for a count of three,
Two,
One.
And as slowly as you can,
I want you to exhale that breath as if you're breathing out through a straw.
And when you're done,
You can breathe comfortably.
And we're gonna do that again,
But this time when you exhale,
I want you to relax all of your body into that exhale and breathe out as slowly as you can.
So go ahead and begin taking some very deep breaths in and out.
And when you're ready,
Go ahead and breathe in as much air as you can.
Hold it for three,
Two,
One.
Breathing out as slowly as possible through that straw and relaxing your body into that exhale and breathing comfortably.
I'd like you to go ahead and do another one on your own.
And when you're done,
Begin to breathe comfortably and relax into whatever position you're in.
You are here today because you've found yourself struggling with a difficult situation and need answers or guidance to be able to move through or out of this difficult situation.
You may also be feeling a range of very painful emotions regarding this situation,
Which may be making it even more difficult to know what to do to move through or out of this difficult situation.
And these emotions may cause you confusion about what to do.
You may worry that you won't make the right decision.
You may fear you will later regret your decision,
Or you may be sad that you even have to make the decision at all.
You may already know what you need to do,
But you may be scared to do it.
And you may be experiencing an internal struggle where one part of you tells you to make one decision and the other part of you convinces you to make the opposite decision.
You may even feel this emotional struggle between your mind and your heart.
You may feel it physically.
I wonder if you can feel that sensation now.
But what if I told you that you don't have to make this decision because you've already made it?
Your unconscious mind already knows exactly what you need to do.
Your unconscious mind has all of the answers you will ever need in your life.
Your unconscious mind is now fully present and ready to provide you with all the answers you need.
Your conscious mind will remain calm,
Relaxed,
And quiet enough for you to receive this much needed guidance from your unconscious mind.
And you will soon find the answers or guidance you've been needing.
At this time,
I'd like to invite you to ask your unconscious mind the questions that you want answers or guidance to.
And as you rest here very comfortably and very deeply relaxed,
Become aware of a staircase,
A beautiful staircase with a polished,
Ornate banister that runs down alongside a deep,
Rich,
Plush carpet.
Perhaps you'd like to take off your shoes and feel the carpet on your feet.
Run your hands along the beautiful,
Polished banister.
And as you look down the stairs,
Notice that there are 10 steps leading gently down.
These are the steps that will lead you deep into your unconscious mind and deep into relaxation where all your answers can be found.
The worries or fears you may have had before about what to do have now disappeared.
You now realize that you have no reason to hold on to any uncomfortable or painful emotions because you know that the answers,
The guidance you are about to receive is true and real and for your highest good.
Even if the guidance is not the guidance you were hoping for,
You know deep,
Deep down within the depths of your unconscious mind and your soul that this guidance will be for your highest good.
And with a slow,
Gentle,
Deep breath in and out,
You let go of any outcome of what you think you may want the guidance to be.
You are now opened,
Ready,
And excited to receive guidance from your unconscious mind for your highest good.
In a moment,
I'd like you to walk down those steps with me and I will count them off for you one at a time.
And you will find that the deeper down you go,
The more comfortable and the more relaxed you will become.
So when you are ready to walk down the stairs,
I want you to gently place your hand on the banister and begin to slowly descend the staircase as I count the steps from 10 to one.
Let's begin.
10,
Deeply relaxed,
Deeply comfortable.
Nine,
Eight,
Seven,
More comfortable than you've ever been before.
Six,
Five,
Four,
More and more deeply relaxed.
Three,
Two,
One.
And you reach the bottom of the staircase,
Letting go of the banister,
Letting go of any worries or concerns,
Feeling so very comfortable,
Very relaxed and at peace with the world.
And you can allow those stairs in the ordinary everyday world to just fade away,
Further and further away as you go deeper and deeper into this comfortable,
Relaxing state deep inside of you,
Focusing your attention on the door in front of you.
This is a large,
Solid oak door.
At the moment,
The door is locked,
But you can open it because you have the key.
Notice that shiny gold key in your hand now.
Feel its weight and the coolness of the metal in the palm of your hand.
And you really want to go through the door and you know that the guidance you've been desperately looking for is just on the other side of that door.
It may be something you can see,
Feel,
Touch,
Smell,
Or just sense.
I don't know what you will find when you go through that door,
But what I do know is that it will be very special to you,
A place where you feel totally comfortable,
Secure,
And happy.
So now I would like you to move toward the door.
Insert the key,
Turn it,
Take hold of the handle and open the door.
Push,
Push it hard and open the door.
Push with your mind as you hear the door creaking and you feel the weight of the door as it moves open.
And as you walk inside fully,
Gently close the door behind you.
Activate all of your physical senses and your sixth sense,
Your intuition.
I will give you a few moments here to take in what is waiting for you.
Take in the energy and receive whatever messages are there for you waiting for your highest good.
Accept whatever comes up in the moment and you can process it later.
Right now is just a time to receive.
Take as long as you need here in this space without processing or judgment.
Receive what is ever there for your highest good and you can end this meditation on your own.
