Settling into a comfortable seated position with your feet on the floor and hands gently resting on your lap.
Begin to scan your surroundings.
Notice the colors,
The shapes,
The streams of light and shadow and now gently closing down the eyes.
Begin to direct your attention inwards and just notice what you see behind your closed eyelids.
Begin to notice any sounds around you.
It could be the ones furthest away from you or the ones nearer to you.
Notice how one sound arises,
Stays for a little while and passes just like the transient nature of life.
Becoming aware of the temperature of the room or the space that you're in.
Feeling the air against your skin.
There's no need to label them as good or bad but just being open to all the sensations present in this moment.
Turning your attention to your body.
Notice what it feels like to be sitting here in this moment.
Being present to all the thoughts,
Feelings and sensations without needing to change anything.
Just allow things to be exactly as they are knowing that in this moment all is well.
And as our practice comes to a close begin to take some deeper breaths once again.
Start to make some small movements with your fingers and your toes and when you're ready gently blinking your eyes open into a soft steady gaze.
