Wiggle your fingers and toes.

Shake out your arms and legs.

Loosen your body to help it relax.

Draw your shoulders away from your ears.

Relax your jaw.

Relax the space in between your eyebrows,

The corners of your eyes.

Take a deep slow breath and release.

Inhaling again,

Filling your stomach with breath.

Holding at the top and release slowly.

Breathing in relaxation,

Holding and exhaling any tension,

Frustration or thoughts.

Slowly drink in a full breath,

Holding softly and let it slowly escape.

Continue this cycle of breath,

Inhaling,

Holding and releasing.

On every inhale imagine your body filling with helium,

Each time making your body lighter and lighter,

Floating.

On every exhale,

Feel your thoughts fade away,

Floating into the distance.

You don't need them.

All you need is this breath,

This moment.

As you continue to breathe,

Becoming lighter and lighter,

Let your focus on the inhale and exhale fade away gently.

Begin to imagine in your mind's eye you are standing at the edge of a lush green forest.

You begin to recognize birds chirping and feel a light breeze caress your arms.

The forest draws you in and you walk closer the closer you walk you begin to see a path emerge.

The path is lined with stones and pebbles showing you the way through.

Walking deeper into the forest you feel a sense of smallness amongst the tall looming trees.

The path becomes darker as the thick branches block the sunlight from above.

You bend down and pick up an acorn that you spot on the path.

Holding the acorn in your palm,

You shake it side to side.

Looking at it,

You realize that these great trees were once this small.

And despite being so small and surrounded by enormous trees,

The acorn feels no shame,

No pressure,

No rush to get anywhere else.

It simply is.

Everything is just the way it's supposed to be.

You are just the way you're supposed to be.

Breathe that in.

The deeper you travel in the forest,

The thicker the vegetation becomes.

The darker it gets,

The heavier the air begins to feel.

Thick,

Humid,

Enveloping.

You are grateful for your long slow breath as each inhale feels like you are drawing in the healing air of the forest and each exhale expels the stale air to be transformed into energy for the plants and trees.

You feel a sense of belonging,

Of purpose.

Rather than just a visitor to the forest,

You are one.

The further you walk,

The more peaceful you become.

You begin to hear the faint trickle of a stream in the distance.

The path transforming from thick forest to an open meadow full of tall grasses and daisies.

The bright,

Beautiful daisies sway with a soft breeze like little dancers on a stage.

The birds and the breeze and the trickle of water creating a symphony for these little dancers.

You yourself feel compelled to spin in a circle,

Arms out wide,

Head falling back,

Feeling the sunshine on your face.

Spinning and spinning in the meadow,

Grasses brushing your hands as if to egg you on to go faster and faster.

Slightly out of breath and a little dizzy,

You slow the spinning until you're facing the little stream.

Dipping both hands in to feel the cool water,

You pull them back out and look at them in amazement.

Your hands have begun to sparkle,

To glisten.

In disbelievement,

You bring your hands to your eyes to wipe them and some of the water lands on them.

When you open your eyes,

You are immediately drawn to a sparkling gem that is within the stream.

Carefully and slowly,

You reach for the gem and pull it out of the water.

Holding it in your palm,

It is no bigger than the acorn you picked up on the path.

You feel a warmth spread throughout your body from holding the gem.

You feel the warmth of a fire on a cold night,

Of a hug from a loved one when you were sad.

You feel the pure love Dogg feels when she sees her owner after a long absence.

Pure love,

Light,

Warmth spreads through your body.

From your fingers,

Your palms,

To your elbows,

Shoulders,

Down your torso,

Through your legs,

To your ankle,

And to each one of your toes.

The loving light spreads to your neck,

Your jaw,

Your face,

And to your third eye region where it swirls.

All in a swift moment,

You place the gem back into the stream.

The warm loving light does not leave.

In fact,

This light has been within you and the gem merely brightened the path of loving into your heart,

Brightened the path of knowing into your third eye.

Turning away from the stream to the path you had come,

You realize the dark forest doesn't seem as thick and heavy anymore.

The shining light of love and warmth within you lights your path back home.
