In the depths of winter, my depression kicks up. It can feel like there is no point in getting out of bed or going about my day. Often, positive affirmations, overly happy meditations - they are too much, they don't work when I am really, really sad. Acceptance - is the missing bridge. It's okay to be sad. It's okay to not feel good. It's okay. You are okay. Use this track when you are deep in your sadness to help you get to neutral, acceptance. I love you - you are okay.

My life has turned out alright so far.

I am doing better than I thought I would.

I am okay.

It's okay to feel negative sometimes.

It's okay to feel positive sometimes.

I have the full range of human emotions in this human life.

I accept my life how it is.

My life is going okay.

I am doing okay.

I don't have to do great all the time.

I don't have to feel positive all the time.

I am doing okay.

I accept my life how it is.

I accept my current emotions the way they are.

I am okay.

I am safe.

It's okay to feel my emotions.

I am safe to feel my emotions.

I remember a time when I was happy.

I remember a time when I was sad.

I accept both emotions as part of my human life.

It's okay that I don't feel happy right now.

I am safe.

I am whole.

I am okay.

I get to decide how I feel.

Right now,

I feel okay.

It is okay to feel how I feel right now.

I am safe.

I am whole.

I am okay.

A healthy muscle can contract and relax.

A healthy human can feel sad and feel happy.

I accept the emotions I feel right now.

I am safe.

I am whole.

I am okay.

I can decide to feel differently whenever I want.

I can decide to feel the same whenever I want.

I am deciding I want to feel a little better than okay.

I know feeling okay is okay.

But right now,

I decide I want to feel acceptance.

I accept what is in my life right now.

I accept my body the way it is right now.

I accept my mind the way it is right now.

I accept my life fulfillment the way it is right now.

I accept my mood the way it is right now.

Acceptance feels better than just okay because there is no resistance to what is.

If you feel ready,

You can move on to the positive affirmation track to shift from neutral to positive.

However,

Do not feel like you need to do this.

There is nothing wrong with being neutral.

There is nothing wrong with being negative.

Repeat this track if you are ready to shift,

But only when you're ready.

Remember,

Do not be afraid of sadness or darkness.

They are necessary and they are beautiful in their own right.

You are safe and you are perfect just the way you are.
