Day 19: The Crows Already Know
I've wanted to befriend a crow for years. Not pushed it. Not planned it. Just held it quietly — a longing without a timeline. And during this Soul Art journey, while I was busy showing up for myself — they showed up for me. This session is about what happens in the natural world when you stop abandoning yourself. The nests. The rabbits. The animals coming closer. The wildness becoming magnetic toward you. And it's about patient longing — the kind that isn't attached to a timeline or a plan. The kind that just knows. What if what you've been longing for is already leaving peanut shells on your porch — and you just haven't seen them yet? Includes nature channel grounding, longing visualization, and three integration questions. Part of the 30-day Soul Art journey: I Am Showing Up for Myself.

Hello,
Hello,
My friends.
Welcome back to day 19 of 30 days.
If you've been following along,
You can feel this whole journey is not linear.
Everything moving and spiraling around,
And this is about a soul curriculum.
This is about any journey that you are on,
Bringing yourself to it with awareness,
With curiosity,
With expression.
Today,
I'm going to talk about the crows.
The last few days,
We've talked about my Ignatia journey and grief,
That freedom that I felt after releasing the grief.
And my intention is I am showing up for myself.
So I offer that to you.
I am showing up for myself.
Say it to yourself.
And today,
Crows,
Crows,
Crows,
Crows.
I'm going to talk about my daughter,
Who's a nine-year-old,
Who found a crow's nest.
We're going to talk about patience and when we start showing up for ourselves and stop abandoning ourselves,
How the wild world around us supports the journey.
Let's just start.
Let's get a little grounded before I give you a story,
And then we'll do a little bit of a visualization.
Wherever you are,
Just go ahead and close your eyes.
As we bring our awareness inward,
Just feel your breath.
You don't have to deepen it.
You don't have to do anything crazy with it.
Just feel it.
Your breath is your Polaroid,
Right?
It's your snapshot of where we are in the moment.
So just feel your inhale and exhale.
You might feel your body move.
You might get a sense of the motion or the movement of the air in and out of your nostrils or your mouth.
And I just want you to silently say to yourself,
I'm opening the bottoms of my feet.
And I am opening the top of my head so that you become the channel.
And you might even feel a little bit of tingling,
A little openness,
Expansion on the bottoms of your feet and the top of your head.
And just for a minute,
Imagine that you're outside,
Not inside,
Not in a home.
You're outside.
Imagine the sun above you,
The sky above you,
The grass at your feet.
You might imagine.
The wind?
On your skin.
And I just want you to breathe here.
Inhaling.
.
.
And exhaling.
And imagining that every exhale is going down through your feet into your chest.
The Earth.
Rooted there.
Like a tree with roots that go so deep.
And when you inhale,
You can bring that breath up from your feet all the way up to the top of your head and out.
And as you exhale,
Coming back down through the body.
Through the bottoms of the feet,
Back to those roots.
So just two or three breaths here,
Inhaling.
And exhaling.
Feeling the roots into the wildness,
Into nature.
And one more breath,
Inhaling.
And exhaling.
Alright.
So you can open your eyes whenever you'd like.
I'm just going to tell a little story.
So I am on this journey and everything on this journey is pertaining to my showing up for myself.
I've noticed,
I've kept my awareness,
My consciousness,
My curiosity,
Everything,
Um,
In this journey because I'm not finished with it.
I haven't finished my spirit action,
So I'm still in it.
I started finding these empty peanut shells all around my property.
They were on my stairs.
They were around my garage.
They were around the back.
And at first I have to admit,
I was like,
Who is stalking my house with peanuts?
Like who is sitting here?
Here There's a huge nest in the tree.
And I said,
Well,
How did you see it?
And she brought me down and we're looking and we're going,
Where is the nest?
And she's trying to point it out to me.
She's like,
I can't find it now.
I'm intrigued at this point.
I start looking and when we find it,
We find this huge crow's nest.
I knew it was a crow's nest.
And the reason I knew it was a crow's nest is because we had been seeing a few crows,
One specific crow that was hanging out on our yard,
Just standing there and walking around for a few days.
I have wanted to befriend a crow for the longest time.
Where I live,
We have the symphony of crows come through.
And I always talk to them and I'm always like,
I'm here if you want to hang out.
I've always wanted to befriend a crow.
I haven't thought about it.
I haven't put it out there.
I just,
When I see them,
I talk to them,
You know?
I have wanted this for so long,
Okay?
So long.
So the minute we saw this nest,
Which is these huge branches,
Just really messy in this beautiful nest.
That's like right on the crook of the tree.
And we're looking at it.
I just start looking up like,
Oh my God,
How do I feed the crows?
How do I do all of this stuff?
Right?
How do I befriend them?
Cause it's a,
It's a tree that's right over my house.
It's in our family almost.
When I started looking it up,
I found out that crows,
When they choose to create a nest will actually begin to give offerings.
And that's when I was like,
Oh,
I didn't have a stalker at the house.
I didn't have someone looking around my house.
I had crows telling me they're here.
They were leaving them all over my yard.
We started feeding the crows.
I went and got a huge bag of peanuts,
Okay?
And they're out there,
And every day at the same time,
I whisper to them,
And I put a handful of peanuts out for them,
And then the shells are there not too long later.
And I am so enjoying it.
It is getting me through the days,
Because I love it.
I've always wanted it.
This came during this journey,
Awareness,
My consciousness is talking to me.
So I know that this is part of my learning of showing up for myself.
This is a thing that I have wanted for so long,
And I put the intention out years ago.
I'm going to befriend a crow one day,
But I wasn't focusing on it.
I wasn't pushing it or anything.
When I would see a crow,
I would talk.
In this journey,
I have stopped abandoning myself.
In fact,
When I find out that I'm abandoning myself,
I begin to shift it.
I talk about it.
I give you my stories just as an aside.
Been doing this I've noticed three other nests we don't have a lot of property it's a quarter acre I have found three other nests I have seen baby birds like it's crazy four days in a row now I've seen rabbits in the middle of the day hanging out they're all just everyone's coming around when I stopped abandoning myself I start telling you my story I'm bringing you into it I'm sharing the medicine that I'm learning I realized when I stopped abandoning myself like nature the wild has given me a gift something I have wanted for so long and as I bring my awareness to this I'm like,
Okay,
The more I show up for myself,
The more the outside world,
The wild,
The nature is showing up for me.
I could go in and I could work with that crow situation and every day put out things,
Even though I didn't have the crows there,
But I just,
I knew I wanted it.
It's something that I held in my heart for a very long time.
And instead of focusing on that,
I'm focusing on myself.
I am focusing on showing up for myself.
And it's almost like this beautiful gift that came in during this time.
And I just love that my nine year old old is the one who found it.
Brought magic into my house.
I am so in it.
My whole house is shifting.
The nature around us,
Everything's coming in.
All of the baby bird nests,
All the crows nest,
All the rabbits,
All the things that are happening.
It's because I am shifting and nature is magnetic toward me right now.
That's what our visualization is going to be about.
Showing up for ourselves makes us findable for the crows,
Right?
For the crows to come in,
For the animals to come in,
The wildness of nature to show up for us in a way that is so beautiful.
And the other thing is I've had a a lot of patience with that journey of the crows.
I just knew,
I just knew inside of me like this is going to happen.
And we live in a world where everybody wants everything now.
It's not even that we want it.
It's like we feel we need it now.
It's like,
Oh my gosh,
We have to get going.
Our nervous systems are like,
Ooh,
They're afraid,
Right?
Because there's so much,
There's so much need.
There's so much friction in a lot of ways in our lives.
I just thought it was so beautiful how that's something I wanted for the longest time in the time that I am really taking care of my nervous system.
I am doing yoga nidras every day.
I am listening to myself.
I am showing up for myself.
I'm in awareness and consciousness.
So this is what I want to give to you.
Sometimes it's not about always having to have everything in line,
Right?
I started this by saying anyone who's followed this journey,
It's not linear.
It's been this spiral.
Yeah,
Let's do it.
Let's get into nature.
Maybe you'll find your own crow's nest.
What is the crow's nest for you?
Why don't we start by going back,
And that's why I brought you into the nature in the beginning grounding,
Where we had our feet open and our head open and we're just connected.
We're the channel in nature.
In a way,
When your head is open and your feet are open,
You're a channel not only to the earth realm,
But the spirit realm as well.
And in nature,
That's where it all lives,
Right?
So go ahead and close your eyes again.
And we're just gonna breathe gently.
I am opening up the bottoms of my feet.
I am opening up the top of my head.
Breathe in and feel the flow from your feet and all the way below to the roots,
All the way up the top of the head.
The sky.
Spirit realm.
Just breathing.
And set for yourself the intention to call in nature.
And when I say nature,
I don't mean that one tree.
I mean the intelligence of nature.
The intelligence of the wild.
Call that in.
And you might feel it.
As trees,
You might feel it.
As the animals.
The animals that are living in it.
Among us.
You might feel it as the wind,
The sun.
Call in the wildness,
The nature.
That intelligence.
And just remain open to whatever comes in.
You might have a sensation,
A felt sense.
Breathing in,
I am here.
Alongside nature.
Nature is within.
Nature is without.
I am here.
Keep your awareness.
On your body,
Your breath,
Your sensations.
Inhaling.
And exhaling,
I am here with nature.
And from this place.
Can you tap into a longing that you have?
It's not a goal.
It's not a plan.
That sense of longing.
It might be wild within you.
That sense of longing.
It may be something you've carried since you were born.
It may be something that has come up recently.
Bring in.
.
.
Something that you,
Your body,
Your heart,
Your soul is longing for.
And it might be something that doesn't have a timeline.
Like I said,
Not a goal.
Not something that you have to plan to do.
Just something that your soul is longing for.
It's not attached to a timeline.
And let it surface gently.
Feel it in your body.
We have these five beautiful senses to feel.
And they're connected to our Claire abilities.
They tell us things.
Feel into that longing.
And while you have that longing there,
Feel into the part of you that doesn't push to have this.
That part of you that is patient,
That just knows it will come.
Breathe into that side of yourself.
That part of you that just knows it will come.
That is patient,
That doesn't push it.
And breathe into that.
Ah,
That knowing.
Inhaling and exhaling.
Hmm.
What if the longing is already on its way to you?
What if the longing is already on its way to you?
What you have longed for.
What if your longing are those peanut shells all along your front porch?
You just haven't seen them yet.
How does that feel in your body?
How does that feel?
That the peanut shells are already there for you.
Take a breath,
Inhaling.
Sigh it out.
One more deep breath.
Feel it in your body.
And when you exhale and sigh it out,
Give it a little sound,
A little frequency towards that longing that's coming for you.
And when you're ready,
You can open your eyes.
I'm going to give you a few questions.
Listen to them.
Let them settle down.
Push them away,
Whatever you'd like to do with them.
What in your life have you been longing for quiet,
Without forcing it,
Without a timeline,
That you haven't acknowledged as a real and valid longing?
And what would it mean to honor that?
And where in your life has nature,
An animal,
A place,
A season,
An element,
Been trying to get your attention?
Have you been too busy to notice all the peanut shells?
And where in your life could you practice the quality of patience,
Openness,
Trusting.
That when you show up for yourself.
The world shows up for you.
It's not a passive waiting.
It's like,
That's why we started with the rootedness.
It's the rootedness.
The moment I show up for myself,
Not only does my house shift,
The yard shifts,
Everything's coming in and blooming.
Everything's alive.
Crows particularly are very spiritual animals.
They need safety.
And I'm creating that safety in our house.
They feel safe enough to come and have a nest right above our house.
There's all these elements that are just saying,
Hey,
By the way,
In the works.
And I am sure you,
My friends,
Are doing the work as well.
But sometimes we have to bring our awareness out and connect a few dots so that we are like,
I am doing the work.
I am showing up for myself.
So that's what I leave you with.
Yeah.
So thank you again,
My friends.
Namaste.
Meet your Teacher
