Yoga Nidra: Deep Relaxation And Rotation Of Consciousness
This is a 30-minute guided meditation for Deep Relaxation and to explore the Rotation of Consciousness in Yoga Nidra. It includes Breathing, a Sankalpa, and the Rotation of Consciousness. The Rotation of Consciousness is a beautiful way to relax the body deeply while still awake and aware. This is a beautiful Yoga Nidra if you need a reset or if your body and mind are feeling tired. It's also a wonderful way to dive deeper into the Rotation of Consciousness and the benefits this stage of Yoga Nidra offers. I hope you enjoy it! Love, Jocelyn b.

Welcome,
I'm Jocelyn.
This is a exploration of the rotation of consciousness in the yoga nidra practice.
The rotation of consciousness is a beautiful way to begin to balance out the autonomic nervous system.
And it's something really to experience.
It's a beautiful and effortless falling into your own relaxation.
So taking a moment to just get comfortable,
Whether that be laying on the ground or on a yoga mat or in your bed,
Maybe even sitting on a couch in a very supported position.
You want to find yourself in a state of being supported.
So that might mean you need some pillows or blankets or towels rolled up under your knees or your lower back.
But finding a place where you can feel that your body is supported.
And once you find that place for yourself,
Just allow your body to give over the weight to that support.
In yoga nidra this is effortless.
The focus of attention and awareness is the invitation to let go.
Just feeling where the support meets your body.
The jaw,
Just bringing your attention there and inviting it to relax.
The shoulders,
The invitation with your awareness to just let go back and down.
The invitation for your hips to let go and be supported by the ground beneath them.
Taking a moment to bring your awareness to your ears and your inner ears.
Opening up your inner ears by bringing your awareness to them and inviting them to open to the vibrations of sound around you.
To the vibrations of sound on this recording.
What do you hear?
And taking a few deeper breaths.
Inhaling and exhaling through the mouth.
Inhaling through the nose and exhaling through the mouth.
If you can make that exhalation a little bit longer than your inhalation.
Bringing your body back to that state of gentle relaxation.
And a few more times inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth.
Inhaling and exhaling.
And we'll do that two more times.
And placing your awareness and your attention right in the heart space in the center of the chest.
Allowing it to soften at the edges.
Inviting the heart space to soften effortlessly.
And imagine that your heart space had its own set of inner ears.
Could you open them to hear what your heart is calling for?
Maybe you're not hearing words.
Maybe you're feeling something.
Maybe you're seeing colors or images.
Or maybe your heart is playing a movie for you.
In yoga nidra we work with a sankalpa.
A sankalpa is a heart's true calling.
A heart's true north.
A heart's intention.
And it's usually stated with an I am statement in a positive way.
You might be hearing your own sankalpa calling out to you.
Or you might want to use I am at peace with my body.
Or I am listening to my body.
Or I am honoring my body.
Whichever sankalpa calls to you we're going to inhale and exhale.
Repeating the sankalpa silently to yourself on the arc of a breath.
Three times.
Inhaling and exhaling.
Silently repeating your sankalpa.
And you can let that go as it seethes in your heart space for this journey.
I am going to guide you on a rotation of consciousness.
This is effortless.
As I guide your attention to different parts and places in the body Could you imagine a bit of warmth in that place?
And that warmth expanding outward?
Almost like a ripple.
We'll start in the heart space.

And beginning to slowly become aware of your breathing.
You don't have to change it or shift it,
Just becoming aware of your inhale and your exhale.
Allowing your body to breathe you.
Allowing your breath to have its own rhythm.
There is no need to alter it,
Deepen it,
Just witness your body being breathed.
And just beginning now to deepen your inhale and exhale in your own time.
And when your body decides to exhale,
Just deepen that inhale.
And when your body decides to exhale,
Simply deepen that exhale.
And allowing yourself to deepen your inhale and exhale a few more times.
And you may want to begin to wiggle your fingers or your toes.
You may want to simply wiggle or rock your body a little to the left or right.
Or you can take a nice body stretch.
You might want to flutter your eyes open.
Allow your head to gently rock from side to side.
And in your own time and space,
Bring yourself to a seated position.
Your hands to your heart to simply thank your body for receiving the invitations today.
This was a an exploration of the rotation of consciousness as part of a yoga nidra.

I hope you enjoyed it.
I always enjoy your comments and I hope that you honored your body today.
Thank you for joining me today.
Namaste.
