Hello,
I'm Jocelyn.
This is a 30-day journey into the soul art process into gaining insights from our experience into our life as a spiritual curriculum if you may so just take a moment and let's just arrive.
You can go ahead and put a hand on your heart or a hand on your belly,
Or you can leave your hands down on your thighs.
And we're just going to close our eyes.
And breathe in through your nose.
And out through your mouth.
Trying to make that exhale just a little bit longer than your inhale.
So inhaling.
And exhaling through the mouth.
Just coming to a place of presence.
Inhaling through your nose.
And exhaling a little longer through your mouth.
And if you want to on these last two,
You can hum with your teeth apart and your lips together.
We're going to inhale through the nose.
You can feel the vibration through your nasal passages,
Maybe in your chest.
Inhaling one last time.
And exhaling on a hum or an exhale through your mouth as a sigh.
And then you can gently open your eyes.
I just want to begin each of these 30 days of this journey with a breath to arrive.
This whole 30 days is about insights from a soul art.
And I set it up here.
This is my soul art.
It goes a little bit higher.
But it was a soul art that was so beautiful and long.
And I'm still in it because I'm still in the spirit action part of this journey.
But that's the beautiful thing.
When you start to work with your art and expression,
It doesn't have to be visual art,
But when you start to work with your expressions,
You put energy into your journey.
And so until that journey is done,
It is working all the time.
And I have had some like wowzer.
Insights.
And so each day on this 30-day journey,
I'm going to talk about different insights and how I am able to kind of be in the awareness of my life as I'm in this journey.
And you can see how you can do this as well.
And it doesn't be that you have to go on a soul art journey.
You can do your own.
Even just bringing awareness to your life in different ways is part of it.
So you can join me in the different questions that I have,
The different rabbit holes of spiritual awareness and awakening.
That i talk about each day this is my soul art and i wanted to start today as just an introduction but we're going to work on one thing whenever i do a soul art journey i go on an intention right i set the intention and the original intention i wrote it down here because i changed it the original intention was i am held as i release the woman who abandons herself Like raise your hand if you feel like you abandon yourself.
Because I,
Even as much of the stuff that I do,
I feel there are moments in life where I just abandon myself.
And partly it's being a mother,
Partly it's being like,
You know,
A homeschooling mom and a wife and whatever else.
But I just do it way too often.
So I started with that intention.
I am held as I release the woman who abandons herself.
Pretty quickly,
I realized that that intention was kind of holding on to the negative piece of it.
I don't want to talk about abandoning myself anymore.
So the intention that ended up coming through was I am showing up for myself.
So that is the full intention.
You're going to see all different pieces of this soul art.
You're going to see the different levels and stages of it and embodying it as we go through the 30 days.
But that's what became this after the first iteration.
Myself.
I am showing up for myself.
So we're going to work on this today.
And this is how each of these 15 minute sessions is going to be.
It's going to bring up something that you can think about for your day.
You can bring it into your life if you want.
You can just be here and question it and feel it with me.
We're going to do a little bit of like feeling into the body.
We're going to awaken the senses.
We're going to just notice what lives in our body with each of the themes that I bring in.
Yeah.
So if you're feeling I am showing up for myself,
That's what today is about.
So here's the question though.
I am showing up for myself.
What does that mean?
What does it even mean,
Right?
It means maybe you're not performing for others,
Right?
Or maybe you're not working to please others.
Maybe it's genuinely choosing you,
Right?
And it doesn't mean that that has to be imperfection.
It doesn't mean that that means when I show up for myself,
I have to have,
Here's a way that my husband does it,
Right?
I have to have the shake.
I have to have the creatine.
I have to have the veggie powder.
I have to have,
You know,
Scenario right just genuinely choosing you and showing up for yourself doesn't have to be perfect it doesn't have to be all the ingredients right we maybe start small we maybe start with simple things So I want everyone to just take a moment and just close your eyes.
We did a little bit of breathing before,
But let's just do one or two breaths.
Just inhaling.
Ah,
Maybe you exhale with a sigh with a little voice on it.
Maybe you just feel your body.
Maybe where is it tight?
Move your body if it wants to.
My back has been feeling it.
Inhaling one more time And on the exhale just allowing your body to settle,
Just to arrive.
And silently say to yourself,
I am showing up for myself.
And when you say that,
Just notice for yourself where you feel it in your body.
Do you notice?
Like an expansion?
Do you notice a tightness?
Do you notice maybe like a little bit of a flutter somewhere or a prickle somewhere?
Saying to yourself i am showing up for myself without even defining it,
Really.
Now I've been working on this journey so I can feel it really opening up my third eye and my Ajna center here.
But maybe you're feeling it tightening in your gut or maybe you're feeling it move across your shoulders or your shoulder blades.
What do you feel in your body when you say to yourself,
I am showing up for myself?
Maybe for some people it's hard to say that to yourself silently.
Notice what your nervous system is doing.
Notice if your breath is catching or if it's deepening while you say that.
Notice if there's a place of tension.
That all of a sudden,
Oh,
I'm lifting a little or I'm not.
The nervous system.
When we come into these intentions and we want to create these things in our life,
Like showing up for yourself.
We have to make it safe with our nervous system.
We have to start with just our body and where we are and our body and how it's responding to that idea.
Right?
Without even visualizing it yet,
Just allowing yourself to feel,
Okay,
Is this tightening or is this expanding for me?
Does it feel like responsibility?
I don't know what it feels like for you,
Right?
So just feel in your body,
I am showing up for myself.
And if you find a place of tightness,
If you find a place of holding on,
Right,
Of getting very structured with your body maybe even.
Just breathe into that area.
You might even start inhaling through your nose.
And as you exhale,
Blowing gently out through your mouth like you're blowing a candle out,
But gently like a cool stream of air.
And letting that breath release whatever's holding on in your body,
In your nervous system,
About that idea of showing up for yourself.
So you might even just.
.
.
And most of the things that we have connected with this our fear,
Doubt.
Blame.
Shame.
So just inhaling through the nose,
Bringing up all of the stuff that isn't yours,
That isn't yours to have,
Right?
Pulling it out through the mouth in a cool stream of air,
Gently.
Letting it go.
And as that blowing out through your lips becomes an extended exhale,
We are telling our nervous system,
It's okay.
It's okay.
I'm okay.
I'm safe.
I'm here.
This isn't mine.
I am showing up for myself.
If you are in this place where you're saying,
I am showing up for myself.
And you notice a word,
A phrase,
You notice that it's doubt,
That it's fear,
That it's blame,
That it's expectation,
Whatever it be,
Right?
You can really focus on breathing that inhale and pulling that up from yourself.
And on that exhale,
Letting it go.
Imagining the words maybe get out clear no more not mine Just allowing this movement.
I am showing up for myself.
What does that feel like?
And just for a minute.
Feel your body.
You can let go of the breathing.
Feel in your body.
Bring your awareness into your body.
Notice any sensations in your body does it feel a little bit different than when we started Notice if there's any thoughts going on.
Notice if you visualize anything going on in your clairvoyance,
Your inner vision.
If you hear anything,
You smell anything.
Or if you have an emotion welling up,
Just notice that.
This gentle way of moving into an intention.
Is also opening up your senses it's also bringing you into your body your body the vehicle The body that's going to show up for you.
It's beginning to allow you to have that communication.
This is so simple but so effective.
And when you're ready,
You can just open your eyes.
I offer to you throughout the day to allow this intention to just drift.
Through your mind,
Through your heart.
Notice if you're showing up for yourself.
You might notice if you feel like you're abandoning yourself.
Those were the two words that I was playing with,
Right?
Like abandoning yourself,
Showing up for yourself.
So it's funny is this this soul art is probably one,
Two,
Three,
Four layers of paint.
The underneath layer of paint where I first put the the intention of being held,
You know,
As I released the woman who abandons herself.
What I did was take everything that I felt about myself.
That was like this negative thing.
Right.
Like how do I abandon myself?
Right.
And it was this entire paper was filled up with with words.
Right.
With with things I've said.
Myself things people have said to me my to-do lists that aren't really related at all to our spiritual well-being in the house right and the whole thing was um and then i began to energy sketch over that and that's how some of these initial movements and initial um initial shapes came to be So I was able to get it all out.
And then I took a picture of it.
I have this picture of all,
I mean,
Everywhere on this page were these things that were holding me back from showing up for myself,
Right?
All these excuses.
Oh,
I even put excuses up there.
The excuses that I use not to show up for myself,
Right?
The excuses I use to abandon myself.
The whole thing,
There was really no space.
It was everywhere.
And that's how this journey started.
And just to give you a sense,
This journey started weeks ago.
And it took me weeks to go from that first place of all those things in abandonment.
And then what I did was I took this like black paint and put it all on it.
And then I gave it a bath,
Which is so interesting.
When the acrylic dried,
I gave it a bath.
And I like,
It was like a baptism.
And I crumpled it up.
And that's why it looks so crumply.
I crumpled it up.
And then I dried it out again,
Almost like I washed it out.
I cleared the space.
I used sage.
Palo Santo and because it was so full I couldn't believe how much I had abandoned myself I couldn't believe how many times how many excuses how many things I did not to show up for myself So I had to do this whole ritual just to get to this side of the paint.
You know,
This is nothing like it looked originally.
So it's interesting.
Let yourself sit with,
Like,
How does it feel to show up for yourself?
What do you do in your life that does show up for yourself?
And remember that showing up for yourself is not perfect.
Trust that,
You know,
When you first show up for yourself,
It's not going to be in some perfect way.
You're not going to just shift your whole life all at once like that,
Right?
But notice the things that you do that do show up for yourself.
Go on to your day.
Enjoy that little tidbit.
Think about it.
Let it settle.
Let it sit.
Breathe with it a little bit.
And you breathe and you see as you say it again to yourself silently,
I am showing up for myself,
How it feels after a day of paying attention to it,
Of bringing awareness to it.
So this is going to be a 30-day container.
And every day I will have a different part of my journey.
Some of it's been through creating it because I created it alongside my daughter doing a soul art journey.
So some of it will be the creating.
Some of it will be the embodiment.
Some of it will be the space in between.
And since I finished it all the way up to today,
Because I have a long spirit action that I'm working on.
And so that energy of that journey,
That intention is consistently coming up.
Levels of becoming and showing up for yourself.
And each day there'll be something that you can think about,
Breathe into,
Play with,
And just see if it inspires you,
My friends.
So that's it.
I'm not going to keep you long.
It's like a 15-minute thing.
Every morning I'm going to be here.
And thank you so much,
My friends,
For coming.
Remember,
I am showing up for myself.
You are showing up for yourself.
Play with that today,
My friends.
All right,
I'll see you tomorrow.
Namaste.
