Today,
We'll be focusing specifically on the guidance and wisdom that comes through in the form of your intuition.
And for the sake of today's practice,
I'm going to refer to your intuition as your Higher Self.
We'll begin with some grounding and breathing,
And you'll then be guided to ask questions of your Higher Self about anything you'd like,
And then see what comes to you.
And so for now,
Let's prepare to move into meditation.
Go ahead and adjust yourself so that you're in a comfortable position.
And if you can,
I recommend being seated upright,
With your feet touching the ground.
I also recommend positioning your hands so that your palms are facing upward.
Whether they're in your lap or by your side,
Turn your palms upward.
This naturally starts to open up your shoulders and chest,
And allows you to be in a position that is open and receptive.
When you're ready,
Go ahead and close your eyes,
And begin to focus in on your breath.
Use your breath to help you settle in and relax.
Now take a big,
Deep breath in,
And on the exhale,
Releasing any tension that you might be holding.
Take another deep breath in,
And release it slowly,
Feeling your breath opening up your chest on each inhale,
And feeling your body release and relax on each exhale.
As you continue to breathe,
Become aware of your body,
Aware of being in your body,
Noticing the points where your body is making contact with the surface beneath you.
Now bringing your awareness to your feet,
Feeling how your feet touch the ground,
Grounding you,
Connecting you with the earth below.
You can even press your feet down into the ground.
Slowly feel this connection through your feet,
Allowing you to feel steady,
Stable,
Solidly grounded in your body,
And well supported.
Now bring your awareness to the base of your spine,
And imagine you're sending a long cord or a root from the base of your spine deep into the earth,
Sending this root down through all the layers of the earth until it reaches the core.
Once it reaches the core,
Imagine that the root attaches firmly to the core,
Grounding you solidly,
Connecting you directly with the energy of the earth.
Notice what it feels like to have this grounded connection.
Next bring your awareness to the top of your head,
The crown of your head.
Notice any sensations that you feel at the crown of your head.
And now imagine a beam of beautiful white light beaming down from the sky above and landing directly on the top of your head.
As you continue to breathe,
Imagine this warm,
Soothing beam of light flowing into your head,
Filling your head with light,
And releasing any tension that you feel in your head,
Relaxing your forehead,
Your eyes,
Your cheeks,
Your jaw,
Feeling the light flowing down and loosening your neck and your shoulders,
Feeling this light warming your chest and your arms,
Your hands.
Sense this soothing light flowing down your spine and through your torso,
Relaxing any tension,
And then flowing out down each leg,
Out through your feet and back down into the earth,
Feeling the light flowing through your entire body,
Bringing you feelings of lightness,
Clarity,
And peace.
Now bringing your awareness to what you're experiencing right now,
What you're feeling,
Sensing,
Accepting what is here,
And continuing to breathe slowly and gently,
Letting the outside world and your circumstances and the stresses of the day all fall away.
Now letting your awareness move deep within you,
Traveling inward until you become aware of the deepest and truest part of yourself,
Connecting with your true self,
Your soul,
Your higher self.
Sense the presence of your higher self.
What does it feel like to be with this part of you?
It may feel familiar,
Comforting,
Peaceful.
Become familiar with this presence.
It's always there with you.
Take a moment to get to know this part of you.
Does your higher self have a voice?
If so,
What does it sound like?
Is there an image of your higher self that's coming to mind?
If so,
What does this presence look like?
Sense your higher self's caring,
Compassion,
And wisdom,
And invite it to be here with you now.
In a moment,
You'll ask your higher self about anything you desire.
You can ask about something specific,
Or ask for a general message,
And listen and observe with an open mind.
You may receive a response in the form of words or images,
Or you may just have a feeling or a sudden knowing.
Whatever you experience is perfectly fine.
Go ahead and ask your question now,
And wait patiently for a response,
Staying open to whatever words,
Images,
Or ideas that may appear.
If you find that your mind is drifting,
Or your analytical mind is engaged and you're trying to think your way to a solution or an answer,
Try to relax your thinking mind,
The part that wants to come up with rational and practical solutions,
That wants to figure it all out.
Take a deep breath,
And relax again,
Focusing on the presence of your higher self.
Then try asking your question again,
Or you can take this time to ask more questions,
And simply observe what comes.
Wonderful.
And if you didn't receive a clear message or an answer,
Or if what you received seemed random or didn't make sense,
That's okay,
It may become more clear at a later point.
Be patient,
And be on the lookout for signs,
Symbols,
Dreams,
And synchronicities that might offer you some clues.
Keep listening to your intuition,
Pay attention to the gut feelings and sudden realizations that you have,
As these also may be offering the guidance that you had asked for.
Just know that once you've asked,
The answer will appear.
And know that you can access your intuition or your higher self whenever you feel the need,
You can always find yourself again.
When you're confused,
When you're distracted,
When you simply need peace,
When you need to let go of all the noise and everything that makes you feel overwhelmed,
You can connect again with the peace and wisdom of your true self.
When you're ready,
You can thank your higher self for spending time with you today and sharing wisdom and guidance.
And as this practice comes to an end,
Allow yourself to slowly return to the physical space that you're in right now,
Becoming aware of your body and where it's in contact with the surface that you're resting on,
Feeling your feet on the ground,
The air on your skin.
When you're ready,
Slowly open your eyes and take a look at your surroundings to return yourself fully back into the present moment.
