Good morning.
Today will be a good day.
There will be moments of peace,
Joy,
Inspiration,
Appreciation,
And satisfaction.
It won't be perfect.
There may also be moments of frustration,
Stress,
Uncertainty,
Worry.
But these are just moments.
They will come and they will pass,
As they always do.
Let them pass on through and know that behind those moments a brighter moment is waiting to be seen.
Keep your eyes and heart open.
Pay attention to each positive moment going through this day and collecting those positive moments,
Seeking them out like you're on a treasure hunt and those moments are gold coins.
Cherish and savor the richness of each moment and remember to allow a smile to come across your face.
Let's take a moment now to practice this,
Savoring the moment with a smile.
So first allow yourself to settle into a comfortable position.
When you're ready,
Go ahead and close your eyes.
Take a nice deep breath in and when you exhale,
Feel a wave of relaxation sweep over you,
Releasing the muscles in your shoulders,
Your back,
Your neck,
And your jaw.
Feeling the gravity pulling you down,
Feeling yourself being supported and held by the surface beneath you.
Noticing the air surrounding you,
Feeling it against your skin.
Feeling the air go in and out of your nose as you breathe.
Breathing slowly and gently,
Allowing yourself to relax and release any remaining tension with each exhale.
Becoming aware of your entire body now,
Noticing how calm and relaxed you are in this very moment.
This moment and this moment now and this one.
These are golden moments to be savored and if you haven't already,
Allow a slight smile to come across your face.
It doesn't have to be a big smile,
Perhaps just a half smile to start.
Notice how it activates some of your facial muscles.
And how it softens others.
Noticing the muscles around your mouth,
In your cheeks,
Around your eyes,
Across your forehead.
Noticing how breath by breath this smile moves further and further into every cell of your body.
As you smile,
Notice how your face and your breath continue to feel.
And now bring your awareness to your feelings.
How do you feel when you smile?
Now gradually let go of the smile and allow the muscles around your mouth to move back to a neutral position.
Once they're in a neutral position,
Move your awareness back to how you're feeling.
Notice the difference.
How do you feel now?
Slowly allow a smile to spread on your face again.
Feel the muscles around your mouth move as the smile grows and grows.
Feeling the smile reach your eyes,
Smiling in your eyes.
Keep on smiling,
Again noticing how you feel in this moment.
Feeling how it uplifts you,
Calms you.
Allowing your whole body,
Your mind and soul to smile.
Simply being in this moment of joy.
Appreciate just how special this moment feels,
And just how easy it is to smile.
To feel these emotions of happiness,
Contentment.
You're basking in another golden moment in this wonderful day,
When you can easily return to again and again.
As this practice comes to an end,
Sustain the smile for just a little longer.
Breathing gently.
And when you're ready,
Slowly open your eyes and thank yourself for giving yourself this opportunity to begin your day with joy and peace.
May your day be filled with golden moments,
And may you appreciate each of those moments as they appear.
Today will be a good day.
Take good care.
