This is a meditation to help you imagine and visualize a positive future or a positive outcome.
By envisioning a positive future,
You can help increase feelings of confidence,
Inspiration,
And hope,
And believe that a positive future is possible,
That a positive outcome is attainable.
So find yourself a comfortable position,
Sitting or lying down.
Once you're settled in,
Gently close your eyes and first focus your attention on your breath.
Take a deep breath in and release slowly.
Breathing in again and out.
Take a full deep breath in,
Feeling your lungs and chest expand,
And then release slowly,
Feeling your body relax and settle in.
Take another full deep breath in and release,
Feeling yourself sinking further into the surface that you're resting on.
Continue to breathe in a slow and steady rhythm,
Feeling yourself relaxing and settling in with each breath.
Giving yourself permission to let go of any worries,
Fears,
Doubts,
Or uncertainty for the next few moments,
And simply allowing yourself to be present right here,
Right now.
If your mind starts to drift,
Just gently shift your awareness back to your breath,
Focusing on the inhale and the exhale,
Or focus on the sensations of breathing that are in your body,
Using this as your anchor.
Now ask yourself,
What does a positive future look like for me?
What is the best case scenario,
Or the positive outcome that I'm hoping for?
See what comes to mind without censoring yourself or judging your response.
What does a positive future look like?
This may be several years from now,
Or a few days or weeks from now.
The timing's less important.
Just take a few moments to think about the future that you want for yourself.
What comes to mind may be specific to a certain area of your life,
Your career,
Your financial situation,
Your relationships,
Your health and well-being,
Or it can be a more general scene from your life.
Now I'd like you to imagine that you're in the future,
Experiencing the positive outcome,
Living in this positive future scenario,
Living the life that you want for yourself,
Not worrying about how realistic or possible it is,
Just allowing yourself to dream and imagine experiencing it.
Really get into the details of this positive outcome.
What does it look like?
Who is there with you?
Imagine the way you would act in this situation.
What would be different?
What would you be thinking or saying?
How would you feel?
Let yourself imagine how you would feel and allow yourself to feel those feelings now.
In this positive scenario,
How do you feel about yourself?
If your thoughts have drifted or you find yourself doubting or questioning how this future could happen,
Or trying to plan or figure out what you need to do next,
Come back to thinking about the outcome,
Imagining yourself living it,
Imagining as much detail as possible and allowing yourself to dream.
Imagine how you would feel about yourself.
Staying with this vision,
Staying with the feelings that you're experiencing right now,
Allow yourself to take in what I'm saying and you can repeat it to yourself if you'd like.
This is possible.
I have what it takes to overcome obstacles and achieve my goals.
I believe in myself and my abilities.
I can create the life that I dream of.
I can create a positive future for myself.
Take a few moments to let that all sink in.
Take a deep breath and release.
Keeping your eyes closed,
Bring your awareness back into your body.
Do you sitting or lying where you are right here right now?
And know that you can return to this meditation or this vision whenever you're feeling discouraged or lost or stuck and you need a boost of confidence,
Hope or inspiration or simply a reminder of your goals and dreams.
For now,
Continue bringing your awareness back to the space that you're in,
Aware of yourself sitting or lying there.
When you're ready,
You can slowly open your eyes and look around you,
Taking in your surroundings and bringing yourself back into the present moment.
