Healing Sleep Through Theta Healing

This course is a six day journey into improving our relationship with sleep through deepening our connection and understanding of our body. Each day we are using a Theta Healing meditation to integrate what we learn, there are journal prompts and integrative practices/habits. Day 1 of the course is about reconnecting with the core feeling of safety, without safety the body can not soften into sleep. Day 2 focuses on easing the mind into stillness, an overactive mind is one of the main blockages when falling or staying asleep. Day 3 focuses on stress and its effect on the nervous system. Day 4 is about letting go, understanding unprocessed emotions and allowing this digestion happen through a breath practice. Day 5 is about getting acquainted with the "inner protector". Day 6 is a celebration and a connection to gratitude. As a great teacher of mine says "gratitude is the best attitude".


Meet your Teacher

Laura is a yoga instructor and Theta Healing practitioner who has, for more than a decade, focused on creating safe spaces where balance can blossom in the mind and body. After years of practice she understood that in the journey back to wholeness, surprisingly (or not!) the first step is rest: restoring our relationship so that we can allow rest, sleep and restoration to naturally happen. She is always lovingly surprised by the benefits she and her clients receive when this relationship is restored.

Lesson 1

Creating Safety – Releasing Hypervigilance & Fight-Or-Flight

This lesson is focused on establishing a sense of safety. You will learn about the influence of the nervous systems in your sense of safety in real or perceived threats. You will receive a Theta Healing meditation and a sleep anchor ritual.

Lesson 2

Quieting The Mind – Overthinking, Worry & The Need For Control

In this lesson you dive into questioning your thoughts and questioning the productivity of an overthinking mind. You will come into understanding that thinking is only ONE form of intelligence. The lesson ends with a Theta Healing meditations and an invitation for a before sleep ritual to easy the overthinking mind.

Lesson 3

Healing The Stress-sleep Cycle – Restoring The Nervous System

Day 3 you will dive deeper into the amazing works of the nervous system. This lesson is focused on stress and how it is related to our minds´desire to control, avoid, predict or fix. The invitation again is to question the thoughts. The session ends with another Theta Healing meditation and integration practice.

Lesson 4

Letting Go Of Unprocessed Feelings

In this lesson you will learn about emotions and how when you don't process (feel) them, they get stored in the body. We will move these energies (emotions) through a breath guided breath practice and hopefully inspire you to keep using the breath as beautiful tool into the present moment.

Lesson 5

The Inner Protector

In this lesson you will do a Theta Healing meditation to meet and connect with the inner protector, also called anxiety, constant worry, need to control or that knot in your stomach. The intention is to bring compassion and understanding to this energy that served its purpose when needed but probably it is not serving you right now.

Lesson 6

Embracing Gratitude

Today is your last lesson, and in this lesson you will learn the incredible benefits of gratitude and how it can rewire your brain and your connection to rest and sleep. You will experience this energy through a Theta Healing meditation and have tools to keep revisiting this energy through this kind of meditation.
