This is a great meditations for when you are feeling stressed or overwhelmed and need to come back into a place of trust and gratitude; or when you just feel like being grateful! Gratitude is known to regulate cortisol production in the brain, reducing anxiety and stress. It actually triggers the brain to release hormones associated with happiness like dopamine and serotonin, allowing your body to come back to a space of balance and trust. Allowing Gratitude to come into our hearts can be such a healing practice! Image: Armennano Pixabay Music: Alex_Wit Pixabay

Welcome to this meditation to tune into gratitude.

Before we start just giving a little disclosure about this meditation.

Gratitude is not something that can be forced and it is counterproductive to feel bad because you're not feeling grateful.

Sometimes we just need to open and create space in us for this energy,

This vibration of gratitude to come in without judging where we are and sometimes this can take time and practice.

So this meditation is to connect with the vibration of gratitude without any judgment of where we are at.

So this being said we will begin seated or lying down.

The important thing is that you can have your back straight and your body relaxed.

Take a deep inhale through your nose and exhale sigh it out.

Let's take two more deep breaths just like this inhaling deeply through the nose and exhale sigh the breath out through the mouth.

One more time.

Start to inhale and exhale normally through the nose and observe how your body is feeling.

We're going to scan the body to allow the body to relax into the surface.

So start to feel your forehead,

Your eyes,

The jaw,

The tongue,

The neck and with your next exhale just allow all of these areas to melt and become heavier into the ground.

Into the ground.

Feeling into the neck,

The throat,

The shoulders,

The armpits,

Your arms,

Your hands and just every time you exhale allow the weight of your body to soften into the ground.

Feeling into your chest,

Your torso,

Your hips,

Your legs and allowing every part of your body to gently give the weight into the ground.

With the body relaxed and the weight softening into the ground start to imagine,

Visualize that you are surrounded by a golden light.

All the room,

The space around you is filled with millions of particles of golden light.

Every inhale you bring in golden light and every exhale you allow this light to sink deeper into your cells.

Keep following your breath and allowing all corners of your cells and your body to sink deeper into the ground.

And allowing all corners of your cells and your body to be filled with this vibrating shimmering golden light.

Still imagining,

Visualizing and feeling the cells of your body vibrating with this golden light.

Start to express what you are grateful for.

Be kind to yourself and keep it simple.

It could be something as simple as I am grateful I have the opportunity to take this time to breathe and connect.

Or I am grateful for the meals I had today.

I am grateful for my health or the health of my family.

We will continue some minutes in silence to continue speaking our gratitude into our cells and the golden light vibrating in our cells.

If you're having a hard time remembering what you're grateful for you can remember what amazed you about your day or you can just speak words of love to yourself and your body.

Visualize this golden light becoming brighter and brighter with your words and your attention.

Imagine it,

Feel it like a river of golden light washing all over your body.

Allowing this energy to bring health and balance into your body and into your cells.

Taking these last few breaths to connect with this golden light flowing like a river through your body.

Bringing a smile into your face,

Smiling to your body,

Smiling to this golden light and smiling to the day that has passed and the day that is still ahead.

Taking a moment to visualize yourself going into the rest of your day vibrating with this golden energy of love and gratitude towards life.

Take a deep inhale and exhale again sigh it out.

Slowly start blinking your eyes open,

Smiling to yourself for coming to this gratitude practice.

May the long time sun shine upon you,

May love surround you and the pure light within guide your way home.

May you have a beautiful day.

Wonderful. Loved the visualization of light as particles I could inhale into my cellular structure.
