Welcome to this short self-love practice for when you need to look at yourself with other eyes.
This is a super easy practice that you can do anytime,
Anywhere and it just takes a few minutes.
So let's just start by feeling your body in whichever part of the day you are in.
Feel into the density of your body,
Feel into your breath,
Whether you are moving or you are still,
It doesn't matter.
Just connect with the breath coming in and out of your body,
Allowing your attention to be here on the breath on your body.
Inhale through the nose,
Blow the air out through the mouth,
Two more times,
Inhale through the nose,
Exhale through the mouth,
One last time,
Inhale through the nose and just blow the air out through the mouth.
Now just bring to your consciousness,
To your memory,
Three things that you are proud of,
Three actions or accomplishments that could have happened yesterday if you are practicing early in the morning or that happened today if it's later for you during the day.
And bring to your memory these accomplishments,
These actions,
It could be something like I'm proud I'm meditating today,
I'm proud I allowed myself to rest without guilt,
I'm proud I could set that boundary or I'm proud I talked to that friend today.
Three actions that made you proud of yourself today,
That made you feel good about yourself and say them out loud if you can or speak them clearly and concisely in your head.
Take some time now to either speak out loud or repeat these three brags,
Three actions that you're proud of to yourself.
When you are done,
Bring one or both hands to your heart and through your hands hug yourself,
Hug your heart,
Acknowledging your beautiful presence in this world,
Giving gratitude to yourself for existing,
For being you,
For doing life as you are doing it,
Telling to yourself what a good job you're doing at being you,
At being human,
Keeping your hands in your heart,
Fill yourself up one more time with gratitude,
Honoring yourself,
Honoring how you show up in this life.
May the long time sun shine upon you,
May love surround you and the pure light within guide your way home.
Thank you so much for practicing,
For honoring yourself.
