Many students walk away from this first lesson feeling more loving towards their parts and more hopeful about the transformative potential of self-love in their own lives. A notebook is recommended.

Connecting to a Compassionate Figure
Today, we will connect to a "compassionate figure" who can help you on your self-love journey, providing guidance, safety, and emotional support. You will learn about what a compassionate figure means for you in a way that will align with your own worldview, no matter what you believe. Then, you will have an experience with this guide that might feel deep, profound, and even mystical. You will likely feel deeply loved, supported, and held by this experience. Today’s lesson is inspired by self-compassion research and shamanism.

Connecting to Your Core Self
Today, you will learn about your "core self," the calm, connected, compassionate, and loving center of you, that has the ability to love and harmonize all parts of you. You will also reflect on how your core self shows up for you in your life. Then, you will gain an embodied experience of core self and create an anchor that can help you feel centered and give yourself love whenever you need it. As a result, you may feel more centered, self-loving, and confident moving forward with the rest of the course. Today's lesson is inspired by Internal Family Systems (IFS) theory and somatic psychology.

Connecting to a Part of You That is Easy to Love
Today we will focus on connecting to a part of you that is easy to love. This will introduce you to working with parts in an accessible way. It will also help you recognize and give gratitude for your strengths, and show love towards a part of you that will likely benefit from recognition. As a result, you will gain more self-awareness and self-love for your strengths, and feel more prepared to work with more challenging parts of you later on. Today's lesson is inspired by Internal Family Systems theory, a strengths-based approach, loving-kindness, and shamanism.

This will help you gain more self-awareness and forge a deeper connection with one part of you, which is an important way to practice self-love. At the end of this meditation, most students feel more confident and capable to work with a more challenging part of themselves in the next lesson. Learning to Love Your Inner Daimons
Today we are going deeper into your "shadow" as we learn to love your inner daimons. You will learn how these parts of you are just the most misunderstood parts of you, who can soften with love. You'll identify an inner daimon you would like to work with in the next lesson. You will gain self-compassion and confidence working with an inner daimon part of you in a way that feels safe to you in tomorrow's lesson. Today's lesson is inspired by shadow work, IFS theory, modern psychology, and ancient wisdom traditions such as Christianity, Tibetan Buddhism, Chod, and Sufi poetry.

Befriending an Inner Daimon
Today we are befriending an inner demon part of you through a guided experiential meditation. We will do this in a way that feels safe and right for you. As a result, you will become a better friend and ally to this part of you, learning how to work with it for your highest good. Many students remark that this is a deeply moving experience, where they realize that this part of themself is not as scary as they thought, and they feel more liberated, peaceful, and empowered afterward. It's the final day of the course! Today, we are wrapping up the course, integrating everything you learned and experienced, and bringing it into your daily life. In the first part of the lesson, you will learn 2 brief meditations to help you connect to self-love regularly. You will then reflect on how to bring what you learned and experienced into your life in an intentional way. This will help you begin to "live" self-love more automatically. You will also solidify your intentions for the course as part of your life.
