Explore MeditationMarita Zakharova is a certified meditation teacher and mindfulness guide whose path to teaching began not from books — but through a hard experience. After surviving clinical depression and a near-death experience, meditation became not a trend, but a way back to life. She has been practicing since 2009 and has completed over 10 Vipassana retreats, including a 21-day silent retreat. She has guided more than 20 retreats herself and holds a deep, compassionate presence rooted in personal transformation. Marita is a graduate of the two-year teacher training led by Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach, and the founder of *Dom Meditatsii* (The House of Meditation) — a podcast and project devoted to embodied awareness. Her approach is multi-sensory and trauma-informed, integrating ancient wisdom with modern science, sound therapy, aromatherapy, and somatic healing. Marita’s retreats and meditations are spaces where the nervous system can exhale and the soul can feel safe again. Before teaching full-time, Marita was a Head Director at russian wellness TV channel ZHIVI, producing over 1000 programs on yoga and conscious living. Her background in storytelling adds clarity, tenderness, and creative depth to her guidance. She specializes in working with sensitive souls, those in transition, and anyone walking through grief or inner exhaustion. Her work reminds us: pain can become power — and softness is our strength.
