Stillpoint Method For Healing And Nervous System Regulation
by Lynn Fraser
Discover an approach to healing that combines somatic mindfulness, nervous system regulation, and self-compassion, built on the understanding that safety is what allows healing to happen. Rather than controlling or suppressing difficult feelings and traumatic memories, learn to approach them with curiosity and care while remaining grounded in the present moment. Draw on simple, practical tools including breath awareness, orienting to your environment, somatic inquiry, and self-compassion that are effective enough to work with deep patterns and accessible enough to use in everyday life. This method grew out of Lynn's own healing from PTSD and complex PTSD, and over 25 years of teaching meditation and somatic mindfulness to people around the world.

The Stillpoint Method is an approach to healing that combines somatic mindfulness,
Nervous system regulation,
And compassion for ourselves.
Its foundation is knowing that safety is what allows healing to happen.
When our body feels safe enough,
We naturally begin to settle,
Feel more comfortable.
Rather than trying to control or suppress difficult feelings,
Traumatic memories,
The Stillpoint Method teaches you to approach them with curiosity and care,
And we do that safely by remaining here in the present moment as we are witnessing thoughts and memories as they arise.
We draw on practices like breath awareness,
Orienting to the space we're in,
Somatic inquiry,
Self-compassion,
Tools that are simple enough to use in everyday life and effective enough to work with deep patterns.
This method grew out of my own healing from PTSD.
And complex PTSD and over 25 years of helping people learn to meditate,
Learn to work effectively with their mind.
And decades of teaching meditation and somatic mindfulness to people around the world.
There are a lot of threads that we're working with.
Our lives are complex.
And these simple tools are effective.
