Nadi Shodhana, or alternate nostril breathing, is a pranayama practice where the breath is channeled through each of the nostrils separately. Alongside regulating the nervous system, this practice cleanses the two major nadis, Ida and Pingala, which connect to our lunar/feminine and solar/masculine sides, and harmonizes the left and right hemispheres of the brain, allowing us to feel clearer, focused, and calm.
