A short, guided meditation practice to start your day. Revisit this practice each morning, to shape the rest of your day and invite the morning, peace, and calm into your mind, body and soul. This practice is suitable for all levels.

Transcript

I invite you to join me in this guided morning meditation.

Close your eyes,

Take a deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth and just sit with yourself for a moment.

Breathing in through the nose,

Out through the mouth,

Breathing in the morning,

The sounds of the birds,

The smell of morning air coming in through your window.

Notice the rise and fall of your chest and every in and every out breath and for a moment just listen to the sounds of the morning.

Follow the gentle rise and fall of your shoulders with your breath now.

Breathing in and noticing how your shoulders rise towards your ears and breathing out and noticing how they gently fall.

Notice your stomach and how it rises on the in breath and falls on the out breath and maybe just place your hand on your stomach just below your belly button.

Breathing in and breathing out.

Connect with your body.

Notice anywhere where you're holding any tightness,

Any areas of tension and just breathe in to those areas,

Relaxing those tightened muscles with every out breath and now just follow the length of the breath as we prepare to end this meditation.

Notice the length of each in breath and each out breath.

Bring your awareness back to the sounds around you,

The sounds outside,

The sounds of the birds,

Passing traffic,

Dogs barking and just slowly open your eyes and take a look around.

Notice any areas by your window where there may be light coming in.

Allow the morning in.

Namaste.

I really loved hearing the real sounds of nature. The birds, the dogs barking. Made me feel like I was there with you. That was wonderful. Thank you🙏🏽
