Mahip Rathore is a counseling psychologist in private practice and a meditation teacher passionate about helping people cultivate greater awareness, resilience, and inner freedom. Raised in central India, Mahip began his career as a lawyer before following a calling toward psychology and contemplative practice. His master's thesis explored cultivating wisdom through coping with life's challenges, and his doctoral dissertation examined how the metacognitive aspects of mindfulness support self-transcendence. Mahip integrates contemporary psychology with mindfulness and timeless contemplative wisdom. He has completed five 10-day Vipassana meditation courses in the tradition of S. N. Goenka and has studied Advaita Vedanta, the ancient philosophy of non-duality, for several years under Jim Gilman, a direct disciple of Swami Chinmayananda. His meditations are designed to help people bring mindfulness into everyday life to reduce stress, navigate difficult emotions, deepen relationships, and live with greater clarity and purpose. In addition to teaching meditation, Mahip coaches ambitious South Asian men who feel stuck in their careers, relationships, or sense of identity, helping them move beyond self-doubt and cultural conditioning to create more authentic and fulfilling lives.

So helpful! I've used this a few times now to better help our program participants understand decentering in my mindfulness group. So far, it's the only meditation on decentering I've been able to find here and a very clear explanation of it! Thank you so much!
