Lección 1
Masculine and Feminine Energy
The terms Masculine and Feminine Energy do not specifically refer to the genders Male or Female. In essence, we have have aspects of both these energies, though one may be more dominant than the other.
Lección 2
Why People Get Into Relationships
Most people have no idea why they get into a relationship. There's a huge difference between wanting to be in a relationship because you value connection and wanting to be in a relationship because you don't want to be alone and unfortunately, a lot of people look for relationships because they don't want to be alone.
Lección 3
The Two Dollars of Love Metaphor
The only way we're going to be able to get the the love that we seek in a relationship is by being able to have it on the table first because then we're not likely to attract somebody with no love coming into the room. We're far likely to attract another millionaire who doesn't need your money and whose money you don't need. In other words, you don't need their love and they don't need your love so you can get on with the business of actually celebrating the love that you have together.
Lección 4
The Purpose of Relationships
If you think something is missing and a relationship will make you happy then you are mistaken because a relationship will do two things. 1. It will magnify emotions, both positive and negative, and 2. It will push your buttons by showing you the disowned parts of yourself.
Lección 5
How Relationships Start
A lot of relationships start by accident because the two primary factors that are involved in most relationships are chemistry and proximity. Proximity refers to people in our social circle, and includes people on dating apps that live in the same area. Chemistry refers to the polarity that is created between masculine and feminine energy.
Lección 6
Taking the Relationship to the Next Level
Here we look at the historical context of relationships, from the dependent model or relationships of the pre-1950s era to the independent model of relationships of the post 1960 and 1970s era to the interdependent model of relationships where the masculine can embrace the feminine as their queen and can honor the feminine as their queen from a level of presence that allows them the safety and the trust to become more feminine.
Lección 7
Mastering Masculine and Feminine Energy
Mastering Masculine energy is about leading. You can't expect to attract the Feminine and expect trust without being trustworthy. And for Feminine, if you're stuck trying to protect yourself by being more masculine and have the refrain "I don't need a man (or the masculine)" and you're quite happy to provide everything for yourself then there will always be the feeling that something is missing, from the perspective of relationships.
Lección 8
Relationships from the Perspective of Needs
An Egocentric relationship is one in which your needs are being met, and that is why you're in it, regardless of whether your partner's needs are being met. A Quid-Pro-Quo relationship is where You'll meet your partner's needs if they meet your needs. It's a conditional relationship. An Altruistic Relationship is where your partner's needs become your needs. It's a relationship based on unconditional love.
Lección 9
Love
There is a a stage of love that a lot of people unfortunately confuse with what they think love is on a long-term basis. When there's that initial attraction with somebody and then you fall in love with somebody in the early stages of a relationship and you've got the chemistry, the passion, and there they can't do anything wrong. How long does that last?
Lección 10
Traditional Relationships
The concept of marriage was based not on romantic love, not on the notion that you fall in love and live happily ever after, but on a model of economic stability that had nothing to do with unconditional love. Two and a half thousand years later, no matter what statistic you look at, in western society, if you take people that are married and fast forward 20 years down the line, it's usually less than two percent of people - one in 50 couples - that ends up happier after 20 years compared to the day they got married.
Lección 11
The Goddess, the Horses, and the Birds Metaphor
So many of us think that we have a relationship when what we really have is a straw prison that keeps people contained and prevents them from being able to offer their heart and their gifts to the world in a way that is designed to honor us. The metaphors I share in this lesson aptly demonstrate this.
Lección 12
Soulmates and Conclusion
The purpose of having a relationship is not to make you perpetually happy. I think by now you understand that and the sooner you can get to a place of accepting that, the sooner we can get past the addictions and fears that are holding us back in finding the one that we really want. The real purpose of a relationship, as I'm sure you're aware by now, is to attract your opposite, what we call our shadow, so as to teach us how to open up and accept the parts of ourselves that we currently reject or are afraid of, in order to prove there was nothing ever missing.
