Performance Anxiety: When Being Seen Feels Unsafe

Lo que aprenderás
Performance anxiety isn’t always about performing. Sometimes it’s about being seen. That feeling right before a meeting, presentation, difficult conversation, or moment where attention turns toward you — when something inside your body tightens, and your mind starts scanning for what could go wrong. I’ve struggled with this for years. And what I’ve learned is that the real shift happens by working with the deeper layers underneath performance anxiety: the fear of messing up, being judged, looking foolish, not being enough, or what being seen might seem to reveal about you. Over these four sessions, we’ll slow down and gently explore those deeper layers together. You’ll be guided through short practices that you can use before, during, and after moments of being seen — whether you’re speaking in a meeting, giving a presentation, going live, sharing your work, or having an important conversation. Inside this course, you’ll practice how to: - calm your body before stepping into the moment - stay grounded when things don’t go as planned - ease the pressure to be impressive - stop spiraling after awkward moments - build more trust in yourself around being seen You’ll also learn a crucial part of this process that often gets missed: what to do after you’re seen so your body can register what you just experienced, making it easier to show up again. These sessions are here to help you feel steadier, more grounded, and more like yourself when the attention is on you — and to help you stay with yourself a little longer in the moments when you would normally tense up or pull away. Most of all, at the heart of this journey, you’ll be anchored by one simple reminder: You don’t have to be impressive to remain whole. I invite you to join me and begin practicing a new way of being seen.

Lección 1
When Things Feel Exposed
That moment when things don’t go as planned… you feel awkward, exposed, self-conscious, and your mind immediately starts searching for a way out. In this first session, we’ll work with the body’s response to being seen and begin practicing a different relationship with those moments — not escaping them, but staying with yourself inside them. You’ll be guided through a grounding practice to help you feel more rooted, present, and steady when things feel awkward.
Lección 2
The Fear Of Being Ordinary
Sometimes, performance anxiety isn’t just the fear of messing up. It’s the fear of what the mistake might say about you. In this session, we’ll gently explore the fear of not being impressive, not being chosen, or—what might feel even worse—being seen as ordinary. You’ll be guided into a grounded reflection on what it means to stand where you stand — without needing to become more before you’re allowed to be seen.
Lección 3
Before You’re About To Be Seen
This is a practical reset to use right before a meeting, presentation, live session, or moment where attention turns toward you. In this short practice, you’ll slow the body down, soften the urge to perform, and come back to what’s actually in front of you. You’ll leave with a simple reminder you can carry into the moment: you don’t have to prepare to be impressive — you can prepare to simply stay.
Lección 4
After You’re Seen: Let It Register
What we do after a moment of being seen matters more than most people realize. In this final session, you’ll practice a simple form of post-performance integration — learning how to slow down, stay present, and let your body register, “I did that… and I’m still okay.” This is a grounding practice for building more safety, self-trust, and steadiness after moments that would normally leave you spiraling or rushing to move on.
