The most powerful action,
Perhaps,
Comes from sitting still.
In the words of the beautiful mystic poet Rumi,
When I run after what I think I want,
My gaze are a furnace of distress and anxiety.
If I sit my own place of patience,
What I need flows to me,
Without pain.
Hey there friends,
Thanks for joining me today.
I'm so very grateful you pressed play today.
And in this meditation,
We are going to draw inspiration and guidance from Rumi's wisdom to help us along our path by giving ourselves grace.
Grace as we seek to manifest things in our lives.
As we try to solve problems.
As we yearn for answers.
And hope and pray and try to will certain things to show up in our life.
So for this message,
I'd like you to start just by closing your eyes.
And just get comfortable in any way that suits you best.
And just be at one with yourself.
One with this life that is happening all around you and within you.
Let's take a gentle,
Soothing,
But deep breath in.
And let it all out.
Feel that soothing energy go directly down your body.
Pay attention to it in your feet.
Feel the tingling.
Feel it in your hands.
Now let's do that one more time.
One more delicious,
Soothing,
Deep breath in.
And release it with a sigh.
Feel that travel all throughout your body.
I invite you to just focus on my words as you sit in your place of patience.
When I run after what I think I want.
My days are a furnace of distress and anxiety.
If I sit in my own place of patience,
What I need flows to me without pain.
Friend,
I believe these words carry a profound truth for all of us.
For you.
For you.
That perhaps sometimes in your relentless pursuit of what you desire,
You are creating unnecessary turmoil and suffering within yourself.
The world often tells us to keep moving forward.
To chase our dreams at all costs.
To take non-negotiable action.
To be productive.
And to optimize our life to the fullest.
However,
There is wisdom in stillness and patience.
I invite you to consider this for a moment.
What if what you seek is not always found in the chase?
During our quiet moments of reflection and patience,
We often discover that what we want is perhaps something far simpler.
Something closer than you might realize.
Whose footprint can be traced back to inside yourself.
A unique idea planted within you by the great mystery of life itself.
When you run after what you think you want,
Are your days a furnace of distress and anxiety?
And if you were to sit in your own place of patience,
What might occur?
What might your experience be then?
Is it possible,
Like Rumi says,
That what you need will flow to you and without pain?
I invite you to just be with that for a few seconds.
Rumi continues that quote by saying,
From this I understand that what I want also wants me.
Is looking for me.
And attracting me.
There is a great secret in this for anyone who can grasp it.
So what if what we are seeking deep down is indeed also seeking us?
What if what you want also wants you?
What if the more you become still and listen,
Little by little,
What you seek draws closer,
Aligning with your intentions,
And beckoning you to embrace it?
I ask you,
Is that possible for you?
Is it possible that you are being called for something?
That you are being drawn to something?
The whispers of which you can hear deep down inside yourself.
A call that maybe you haven't been giving the attention it seeks.
In a world that is constantly flashing us images of what we should want in our lives,
And how our lives should be,
Sometimes we must allow our desires to unfold naturally.
We must follow the footprints etched within our hearts,
And trust that they want us to follow them,
Even if we are unsure where they will take us.
This is the essence of the journey of being a spiritual being,
Having a physical experience.
It is a perpetual revelation.
Not a mountain to conquer,
But a journey to discover.
And with each and every step of our journey,
It unveils itself gradually and unfolds spontaneously.
We just need to remember to slow down and pause long enough to observe it.
And if we go back to more wisdom and guidance from Rumi,
Because why not,
He beautifully reminds us with these words.
Patience is not sitting and waiting.
It is foreseeing.
It is looking at the thorn and seeing the rose.
Looking at the night and seeing the day.
Lovers are patient and know the moon needs time to become full.
So friends,
In the rush of life's grand pursuits,
Have you overlooked the hush whispers of stillness from your soul?
Have you overlooked the profound message it is trying to convey to you?
And maybe in doing so,
Missing the beauty of what's already inside you,
Calling you,
Seeking you,
Whatever problem you want to solve right now in your life,
Whatever you seek to bring forth in your life,
Perhaps the answers are within.
Linger with that for a while.
Thanks for listening.
Much love.
