Taking in the Good: Rewiring Your Brain for Wellbeing
by Derek Hill
This mindfulness practice introduces Taking in the Good, a memorable technique for balancing the mind’s natural bias toward negative experiences. Inspired by the work of psychologist Rick Hanson, this practice helps us intentionally notice and absorb positive moments so they stay with us longer. Through a gentle four-step process -Ground and Stabilise, Reflect and Picture, Notice and Inquire, Enjoy and Take In - you’ll learn how to strengthen feelings of calm, gratitude, and wellbeing. A short reflection followed by a guided practice to help the good experiences of life, rewire our brains and body for wellbeing.
