In this course, you can expect to learn about the nervous system, the role of our emotions, the physiology of the mind-body connection as well as many other aspects that facilitate our somatic emotional experience. Each lesson culminates in a somatic meditation designed to allow the listener to experience the specific emotion of the lesson and begin learning what that emotion feels like in their body to begin developing a stronger communication and connection with our inner emotional landscape.


Meet your Teacher

Danielle is trained as a physical therapist in British Columbia and realized very early in her career that most of the pain she was supporting her clients through was not entirely physical in nature. Through her quest to learn more about the role of stress and emotions on the physical body, she began learning more and more about the nervous system and the mind-body connection, leading her to creating this practice of Somatic Emotional Awareness. In her desire to help her clients begin to identify the origins of their pain and physical ailments, she began sharing what she was learning and has expanded her healing modalities far beyond that of physical therapy alone. Danielle has studied functional neurology, meditation, Traditional Chinese Medicine, energy medicine and many other modalities and combines all these beautiful practices into her offerings.

I thoroughly enjoyed this course! As someone who sometimes feel out of place for how much stronger my emotions feel compared to others, I was glad this course helped me to understand how these emotions affect me, and allow me to confront them myself.
