I think this was the best video of the series! I think it would work really well as Part 1 as much as it does at the end, because it really gives context & motivation to learn from all the prior videos. I really appreciate this, because I'm trying to find tools for my own situation. I tend to have a vasovagal/neurocardiogenic syncope in response to pain. I've learned tools to control it when I know to expect pain (blood draws, for example)... BUT many times pain is unexpected, & that's where I'm struggling. I do think my nervous system has become sensitized, so I'm having episodes in response to lower levels of pain. I'm in America, where doctors aren't great & help is hard to get - especially once you enter the grey area of psychosomatics. I'm here to try to find ways to help myself. I appreciate all the tips you gave for regulating a dysregulated nervous system. I was hoping to learn more about the Vagus nerve specifically, so if you're looking for ideas for another video, I think that might help a lot of people with a variety of issues related to that. Thank you again for doing this whole educational series.

Is this related to the addition of the 4th F (fight-flight-freeze-fawn)? Thanks for breaking all of this down. I think the simplification is probably really helpful for someone new to these concepts! I am appreciating it as a brief review, although this video went over some new things for me too.

I'm really enjoying this overview. I know I'm dysregulated, but it seems different from what I hear most people going through. I'm hoping by the end of this series that I'll have more insight. Question: Can you be stuck in BOTH sympathetic & parasympathetic modes? Or maybe have a problem where you have the tendency to get stuck on both ends & are slower to adjust? Thanks again for breaking everything down.

Watching the whole series. This one is probably the one I'm most familiar with already, but it was a pretty good review from Bio Psych (20 yrs ago - was needed!!). Thanks for breaking all the other parts down too!

Dear Danielle - listen to your permission to rest almost every day and today was the first time I actually heard about laying in the water with the sun on my face. I teach swimming for a living and it made so much sense and thank you for this track and I look forward to listening to other others.

Really pertinent to me - Worked with therapists related to specific physical facial, head and body wounds received in a major auto accident at the age of 14 years old. I'm now 80 years old - still carry the psychological stress and responses in today's body. Thank Ypu for describing how trauma lives in one's cranium, brain and body...🙏🙏🙏
