Here's a few minutes to reconnect with truth from a three principles perspective.
We've all been led to believe that there's something wrong with us.
Perhaps not every single one of us,
But an awful lot of us now believe that there is something wrong with us.
But what if that is an innocent misunderstanding?
What's really wrong is that a lot of us spend a lot of time in our heads,
Thinking,
Thinking about the world out there and what's wrong with that,
But also thinking an awful lot about ourselves and what's wrong with us.
Can you imagine what it'd be like to just put that thinking down for a while?
Imagine what it'd be like to not be thinking about yourself quite so much.
The truth is that underneath all that thinking about how you're doing or how you're not doing very well,
Is peace.
You're not all the bits of snow floating around inside a shaken up snow globe.
You're the stillness when the snow globe is put down.
Can you get a sense of that,
A sense of how much time we spend in our heads spinning around and around in thought,
When the truth is that our well-being and peace is underneath all that?
One of my favourite quotes from one of my favourite teachers,
Jack Pransky,
Is,
All we are is peace,
Love and wisdom,
And the ability to create the illusion that we are not.
It seemed to me for a long time that my self-worth depended on what I was doing,
How well I was doing,
How much I was doing,
But I'm gradually coming to see that that's not true and that self-worth doesn't need defending or earning from the things we do out there in the world.
So I guess what I'm encouraging here is for you to relax into what's already true about you.
That underneath all the thinking,
All the stories,
All the things that we think are wrong with us,
Is peace,
Love and wisdom.
Perhaps you could begin to notice that as you go through your day.
I hope this little talk is helpful in guiding you to see your own quite wonderful and amazing innate well-being.
Take care.
Much love.
