Hi,
And welcome to this Spring Clean of the Mind meditation with me,
Camilla Seker-Dallarup.
We spring clean our houses,
Our wardrobes and our cupboards,
But today we're going to spring clean our minds.
Just go through the thoughts and release the ones that are no longer serving us.
So when you're ready,
Go ahead and get comfortable and close your eyes.
We're going to do three deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth to center yourself here now.
Feeling the belly expand on the in-breath and let go on the out-breath,
And when it feels right to you,
Allowing the breath now to return to just flow in and out of the nose throughout this practice,
Allowing each in-breath to guide you deeper and deeper into relaxation,
Allowing the thoughts to settle a little further,
The body to relax a little more,
Letting the breath guide you.
I want you to imagine that you are walking in to a wardrobe of your thoughts now to do a spring clean,
And as you walk in there,
You can imagine your thoughts all around you,
Just the way your clothes,
Shirts,
Sweaters,
Trousers,
Shoes would be there,
But instead it's your thoughts.
Notice which thoughts you are drawn to.
Hold that thought and decide if it's time to let it go.
Maybe you even have a bag or a bin next to you where you're throwing into it the thoughts you're letting go of,
Just the way you would throw shirts on the floor you're giving away.
Grab those thoughts as the thoughts are flowing in and out of your mind.
Grab the ones you're letting go of.
Spring clean now.
As you hold the thought,
You might even notice that thought or situation or pattern you're letting go of,
Told you before you release it now.
Just take a few minutes here to go through your wardrobe of thoughts and to release and let go.
Notice how the thoughts you are releasing are making you feel.
Notice what they told you and how it feels to let them go.
Also notice how the thoughts you are keeping in your wardrobe of thoughts are making you feel,
What they spark in you.
Also notice the thoughts you are choosing to keep in your wardrobe of thoughts.
How they're going to help you blossom even further.
Do they spark joy,
Creative energy?
Do you feel inspired by those?
Remembering the beauty of letting go is that you are creating space for new thoughts,
Inspired thoughts,
New ideas,
Opportunities,
Relationships.
So notice the space you have created now in your wardrobe of thoughts.
What are you wanting to invite in here?
How much space do you want to leave in here for new possibilities?
What thoughts are going to help you blossom further?
Take another look around in your wardrobe of thoughts.
How does it feel?
Do you notice the space between your thoughts?
Do you feel more clear,
Like you've gained clarity here?
Does it feel cleansing to you?
As you leave your wardrobe of thoughts today,
Knowing that you have spring cleaned here,
Remember to empty the bin.
All of the stuff you let go of.
Leave that space feeling renewed,
Refreshed,
Vitalized,
With a clearer mind.
Knowing that you can come back here to your wardrobe of thoughts and spring clean at any time.
And then just becoming aware of your breath now and how it's flowing through the body,
Letting the next in-breath bring you back into the space you're in.
Take a deep breath in,
Coming back and opening your eyes whenever you're ready.
