Having travelled the world and leading a busy life, Camilla understands the importance of a good nights sleep. This meditation was made with much care and love to support you when you need it. Transcript
Hi,
I'm Camilla Segerdalrup and this is the meditation for deep sleep.
I trust that you're lying comfortably now and just go ahead and close your eyes.
Knowing that there is no pressure to fall asleep right now or a little later,
There'll be no bell at the end of this meditation just for ease,
So that you can just ease into sleep after this.
Go ahead and take three deep breaths in,
Letting go as you exhale now of the day,
Stress and tension,
Just letting it flow away with the out-breath.
And then allowing the breath to flow in and out of the nose.
In just a moment you'll hear the sound of the bell to let you know that we're going to start now.
Becoming aware of how the breath is flowing through the body.
Perhaps you notice now how the chest is rising and falling with every breath.
How the air is traveling all the way down to your belly as it expands and drops with every breath.
Perhaps you could just imagine for a moment an imaginary box right there in your bedroom or wherever you're lying right now.
In that box you can just put any worries,
Concerns,
The to-do list,
Phone calls,
Emails,
Whatever you don't need right now.
Just drop it into that box and know that it's there if you need it in the morning or later.
For now just let it go and leave it there,
Closing that box,
Sliding it to the side and allowing yourself to completely lean back into relaxation here now.
Allowing the breath to dive down through the layers of thoughts with the breath and landing it down deep in your belly now,
In that place of stillness and calmness deep within.
And just know that thoughts are going to come and go and that's okay if you catch yourself thinking.
Just return home to the breath,
To that center again and again.
Just allowing my voice to guide you.
And if you feel yourself falling asleep,
Just let my voice fall away.
Feeling sitting by a river,
Noticing this calming river flowing on by right in front of you.
Perhaps you're noticing the light around you is turning from day to night.
Perhaps you can just about see the leaves that are floating down that river.
They're falling from the trees and now they're floating down that river.
I want you to imagine those leaves are representing your thoughts and just like that,
Your thoughts could be floating down that river too.
You could just let them go,
Notice them but let them go.
You could reach out and touch those leaves but you decide to just stay here with the breath instead.
Coming one with the stillness within and around.
Falling a little deeper into relaxation with every opera easing into relaxation here now.
Perhaps you notice the body is feeling heavier as it relaxes deeper now.
Just letting go,
Letting those thoughts float on by,
Just observing them as they float on by down that river.
Feeling that calmness of that water flowing on by.
Perhaps even imagining that water flowing right through the body,
Cleansing and relaxing the entire body,
The mind and the nervous system.
Focusing on that water flowing through the body,
Calming and relaxing.
Calming and relaxing.
Coming back a little further now into relaxation.
That's right,
Just let go.
Feeling in that calmness with the in-breath,
Allowing it to just flow through the body.
Exhale relax a little deeper.
Starting to feel so relaxed.
Feeling that the breath will guide you to the stillness within now.
Perhaps you notice the sky around you and the stars now.
Maybe even the moon shining its calming light on you.
Feeling held and supported here by this immense calmness.
Feeling calm and supported here.
Feeling allowing yourself to let go and relax a little deeper now.
And then you notice that river in front of you has turned into a tunnel,
We're going to call it the tunnel of relaxation.
Maybe it's made out of stars or light or clouds or whatever feels calming to you.
And as you take each step now down through this relaxing and comforting and calming tunnel of relaxation,
You will feel more and more relaxed and let go further and further with every step.
That's right,
Just walking gently.
Feeling more and more grounded and relaxed with every step.
Looking towards the opening at the end of that tunnel.
Maybe you can see the moonlight at the end of the tunnel.
Seeing that calming moonlight guide you here,
Towards sleep.
Feeling more and more grounded and more and more relaxed with every step.
Feeling how every breath is supporting you yet guiding you deeper and deeper into relaxation.
To a place where you can allow your mind and body to rest now.
Feeling so relaxed.
Find the mind and body to rest.
More and more relaxed.
That's right,
Just let go.
As you step into that moonlight,
It feels like a comfortable blanket surrounds you.
And soothing to the mind and body,
It feels like calmness surrounds you here.
And your mind and body is mirroring that calmness now within.
That stillness.
Feeling the body settling in wherever you are,
Surrounded by that comfortable blanket of calmness.
And you can just allow yourself to let go.
To ease into sleep.
Feeling safe and relaxed.
Looking forward to just being one with your breath here,
Resting.
Allowing the mind and body to recover.
In this moment,
All is well.
Just rest.
Breathing in calmness.
Feeling it flow through the body.
Exhale relax.
Breathing in calmness.
Exhale relax,
Let go.
Sailing a little deeper into relaxation now,
To a place of deep sleep.
Surrounded by the stars.
Held by the calming moonlight.
Surrounded by the stars.
One with the stillness within and around you now.
Getting more and more comfortable.
Ready to ease into deep sleep here.
Let go.
Let go.
Feeling sleepy now.
As you allow my voice to just fall away now.
Allowing yourself to rest.
Sweet dreams.
