Today's meditation is a meditation of surrender.
Surrender doesn't mean giving up.
It means to surrender whatever is too big for you to carry on your own and to let yourself be guided instead.
To tap into the oneness of this world.
So let's meditate.
Go ahead and close your eyes.
As you breathe in and center yourself here,
Letting that breath flow in and out of the nose.
I'd like you to notice if there perhaps is something on your mind,
Something pressing on your mind that's making you feel overwhelmed.
Or like you would like some guidance or help or support here.
And then imagining simply handing that over,
Handing over whatever that sentence or issue is to the universe and asking for guidance.
Simply say to yourself,
I surrender this and I let myself be guided here.
Sometimes we can feel like there is no support,
That we are on our own.
But in this meditation,
We're going to tap into the world in the oneness,
Presuming that you are supported and that there is a knowing within you.
I surrender the things that I cannot carry on my own.
I am ready to be guided here.
And just inviting in that guidance with each breath.
Sometimes the guidance can feel simply like peacefulness through the entire body.
Like a blanket of calmness wrapped around you so that you can feel the support that is here for you.
And just enjoy this moment and not needing to have to work everything out on your own.
I surrender.
I am guided here.
As the thoughts slow down a little with the breath,
Pause between the out-breath and the in-breath becomes a little longer.
Into that pause,
Into that gap,
Guidance and inspiration can arrive.
I surrender and I let myself be guided here.
I do not need to carry all of this on my own because I am supported.
I feel the support around me and I let myself be guided.
And perhaps you even start to perceive the situation that you handed over differently.
Maybe there is a lightness and a calmness flowing through your body now.
Knowing that you are not alone,
That you are supported here and that you are being guided.
I surrender and I let myself be guided.
Sometimes guidance can arrive in a form of a word that pops into the mind,
A sound or a feeling.
For the next couple of minutes,
As you sit here open to receive the guidance,
Simply observe your breath and allow the guidance to flow.
Breathing in,
Letting go.
I hope you felt the power of surrender today.
I hope you felt the guidance and the support here.
Go ahead and take another deep breath in.

Coming back and opening your eyes.
