Hi and welcome to this calming meditation with me,
Camilla Segedalera.
Sit comfortably and go ahead and close your eyes.
Take a moment now to tune into your breath.
Notice every little sensation happening in the body as you breathe.
You may be aware of the breath coming in through the nostrils,
Traveling all the way down into your belly and out.
You may be aware of the breath at the back of your throat,
Or perhaps the chest rising up and down,
Or the belly as it expands and drops back down.
Let's take a moment to really enjoy this calming and nurturing breath,
This beautiful rhythm within,
Unique to you.
Imagine for a moment that you could breathe in calmness,
Like a wave coming in over the body right up to your chest,
Leaving through the arms with relaxation.
Connecting to this wave of calmness and relaxation.
Connecting that wave to your breath in your own time.
Breathing in that calmness,
Exhale relaxation.
Feeling how relaxing that feels throughout the body,
All the muscles relax.
As you breathe in that calmness,
Allowing that wave of calmness to come in over the body,
Leaving through the arms with relaxation,
Letting go of all stress and tension you may be holding somewhere in your body.
Just let it go as you exhale.
Just imagine for a moment standing in front of the sea.
Perhaps you could imagine now,
Almost like a storm at sea,
Large waves crashing against each other.
Maybe you are aware of the image of that,
The sound of the feeling.
Imagine now if I told you that you could calm that sea in your mind with your breath.
Just imagine that,
You calming that sea with your breath.
Imagine those waves settling breath by breath.
Now imagine that your thoughts in your mind are just like those waves.
You can allow them to settle breath by breath.
Just like the water will always be there,
So will your thoughts.
Always be there.
Just in a much calmer way now,
To allow that sea to settle,
Allowing that storm to pass.
Tuning in fully to that beautiful breath within.
Breathing in calmness.
Real relaxation.
Just in your own time,
Allowing that sea to fully settle.
Perhaps you can imagine now the sea to be completely still,
Almost like glass.
Imagine now mirroring that in your mind,
Feeling that deep sense of calmness and stillness in your mind.
Keep the focus on that still sea,
Allowing that calming color of blue from the ocean to surround you and comfort you and make you feel safe.
Enjoying this moment of feeling fully anchored in the calmness within.
Enjoying this last few minutes of stillness.
Each time the mind wanders,
As it will,
Gently bring your focus back to that still sea.
Breathing in the calmness deep down into your belly.
Real relaxation.
Feeling that deep sense of calmness that you're mirroring from the sea.
Allowing that calming color of blue to surround you.
Staying one with your breath.
I want you to know that the calmness you have connected to today within you is always there deep down in your belly.
All you have to do is take one conscious breath during the day to connect to it.
Breathing in that calmness one last time.
Exhale relaxation.
Feeling that you can choose to deal from this deeply calming place whenever you need to,
Whether you're meditating or during the day.
The next breath in,
Gently bringing your awareness back to the space where you are.
Being aware of your surroundings and opening your eyes in your own time.
