Begin by placing your feet on the earth or the grass.
Step in consciously.
Notice and welcome that connection.
And get a sense of a deepening in both directions.
Deepening up through you but also down into the earth.
This is a greeting and an acknowledgement.
A connection to another living system with which we are deeply interconnected,
Whether we are in a place of recognizing that or not.
If this feels new to you,
I invite you to experience this as a remembering because this is something your system and your deeper wisdom knows,
Even if your head brain has forgotten.
As you feel this connection deeper and you settle into being here,
You may want to then lay your hands on the bark of a nearby tree or touch the earth.
Stay curious in this process of deepening connection,
Of leaning in to intimacy and relationship.
Then,
Listening to the invitation from the earth,
Take yourself down to the ground fully,
Rolling over onto your back and releasing your whole body to the earth,
Trusting it to support and uphold you.
Trusting that you are safe here.
Remembering that this is home.
This is your ancient grandmother.
Notice what it is like to be lovingly held by her and open yourself up to life around you,
The sounds,
The sights,
The smell.
All being lovingly held by our ancient grandmother.
All living in a wonderful web of interconnectedness.
Lay here as long as you wish to,
Opening yourself up to connection,
To stillness,
To being part of the ecosystem around you and to being part of something bigger than yourself,
Something exquisite and beautiful and sacred.
And as you open up,
Staying curious to any reminders or offerings that the earth or the life around you has to offer.
