Good morning.
This is a guided practice to help support you to move from a fog or a funk that you've woken up in into focus,
Lightness and a bit more space to breathe properly and trust.
Stepping into the day,
Faithful in yourself and in life and trusting that you will find your way through.
So taking a breath in for nourishment,
Filling your lungs and breathing out,
Using a little bit of space amongst that grey cloud or heavy energy.
And again,
Taking a breath in for nourishment and breathing out,
Closing your eyes and noticing,
Accepting with curiosity that heavy energy that you're experiencing right now.
And if it's not heavy,
Just notice what it is,
How it feels,
The impact it's having.
And it could be here for any number of reasons.
So check in.
Is this something that you can shift out of and disperse with sunlight coming through the clouds?
Or is this something deeper?
An energy state such as grief or impact of overload and overwhelm in life that perhaps won't shift today and may even need to be there.
Grief,
For example.
We can't just shift it away and pretend it's not there.
There are some feelings that need honoring and giving space and time.
And there are some states of being that we can shift ourselves out of and are not serving us.
So check in with where you're at and follow this practice,
Keeping that present in your heart and mind.
And as you breathe,
Imagine some sunlight coming up over your horizon,
Allowing some streams of light through this energy.
And you take ownership of this energy.
Of whether this light is going to gradually disperse the cloud.
Or that the cloud will remain,
At least for now.
But you know that the light is there too.
Not diminishing your experience.
But nourishing you along the way.
A reminder of your life force.
A reminder of hope and the cycle of things.
And wherever you're at with this and your state in this moment,
Keep on breathing in to lift that sunlight and breathing out to support the rays shining their way through.
Bringing some lightness in.
And notice any shifts in your sensation.
In your system and your state.
From simply focusing on the light and using your breath to give space for lightness and hope.
Which then allows space for a bit more clarity and with that clarity,
Think about one thing that you may be able to get done today.
Something that you will be able to focus on and achieve.
And that may be your first next step after this.
And taking the day one step at a time.
Or it may be something that you know by the end of the day you'll have done that.
And then connecting to one thing that upholds you in life.
That may be something in you.
It may be someone else.
It may be the roof over your head.
It may be something that you love to do that's coming today.
Even if it's a momentary something.
Seeing your favorite tree.
Getting a glimpse of the moon.
And then taking a breath in,
I invite you to move towards standing.
So planting your feet on the floor.
And as you rise up,
Breathing in for aliveness.
And once you're standing,
Breathing out,
Opening your shoulders.
And standing in a way that feels alive.
That your body is both upholding you and being upheld by you.
And then putting your hands into prayer position in front of your heart.
And as you take your next nourishing breath in,
Your hands follow up to the sky.
You lift your chin and as you breathe out,
Your hands part and come down either side of you.
Open and expansive.
And back round to prayer position.
Again,
Breathing in with your hands following up to the sky.
And as you breathe out,
They open up expansively.
Out to the sides,
Following the curve of the sun.
Energizing your life force.
And bringing your arms down.
And then back to your heart.
Either in prayer position with your hands flat to your heart space.
With loving tenderness.
And holding.
Be in stillness with yourself.
Those chinks of light are there.
Notice where you're at.
Whether you're still feeling stormy,
But knowing the light is there.
Or chinks of light coming through the gray.
Or you may have a full,
Clear sky of light.
Wherever you're at.
Notice.
Accept it.
Check in with what you need from this place.
And how you want to step forward into the next step of this day.
