We often relate setting boundaries to conflict with other people’s wants and needs, and communicating them as a risky behaviour. Avoidance of setting boundaries, or being overly boundaried, costs us our well-being, our capacity and can cost us in our relationships, especially our relationship with ourselves. This course is about moving away from that and coming back to you: where you are at in relationship to boundaries, what is the resistance in you, and coming from a place of autonomy, nurturing your sense of self, and recognising the deeper purpose of potential boundaries. It is about moving towards seeing them as core elements of self-love and self-respect (which we can never fully receive from others if we don’t live them towards ourselves) and feeling more comfortable and assured in setting and maintaining them.
