Feeling unanchored can really knock us off course. This 3-minute track will help you bring yourself back to yourself, using your body in the process, to gain a physical anchoring, which will support a psychological and spiritual sense of being anchored. This track is part of my For When... series of very short tracks - small doses of support and remembrance for you when you need it.

Transcript

When we feel unanchored,

It can really throw us off course,

Hit our confidence,

Which will then impact our ability to access our inner resources.

So this is a moment of invitation to re-anchor,

Remember you and all the resources you have within you.

So I invite you to plant your feet,

And if you're sitting,

Plant your hips as well.

And negotiate with those points of view that are touching the floor or furniture.

Settling them in,

Allowing them to root,

And then negotiate with the rest of your body as it finds its balance,

And as much ease as possible,

To steady itself on top.

And as you do so,

Breathing in,

And feeling a stretch from the points of view that are physically anchored,

Up through your whole body,

Reaching upward as the top of your head reaches upwards for the sun,

For the heavens.

And you feel that alignment going through you,

Taking a breath in again,

And taking this moment to remember,

You are here in this moment.

You have found yourself through rougher waters.

You have found your way through storms.

You have got lost and come back on course before.

You will find your way with this.

You are here.

I invite you to place your hand on your heart,

And come back to yourself.

However thrown off course we get,

However much our confidence gets knocked,

We always can come back to ourselves.

Because when we stay in companionship with our own self,

We will absolutely find our way.

So taking a breath in,

Anchoring with yourself,

And breathing out,

To release and trust.
