Hello my friend and special soul and welcome to this space to have an experience of inhabiting your body with a quality of awareness that is loving and respectful.
And the invitation is to be reverent towards yourself and tender.
Who would you be without a body?
Without your body what would you know?
Where would your guidance come from?
Where would your experiences land?
I know that just as it can be easier to have caring,
Love,
Compassion for others than for yourself,
Touching your own body with love can be harder even than touching someone else's.
But when we touch or are touched with welcome and kindness and honour and love what happens is a luminous field of energy is created inside us which awakens and restores and does some deep healing where needed,
Exactly where needed.
So can you take this into your practice as you touch your own body with loving and caring attention even if just for this time?
And you'll be supported in doing this by my guidance.
You can begin by closing your precious eyes or softening down your gaze,
Just letting the world drop away.
And you can take a big breath in and let it all go.
You might want to do that again,
Really enjoying letting that breath go and enjoying how the next breath in fills you,
Gives you a bit of a stretch,
Some space on the inside.
Feeling that you're taking a breath that loves you back,
That's full and delicious and enough.
And then let your awareness soften and descend from your mind,
Your mouth to your heart to this tender special body of yours that lives and breathes and feels.
And you begin to sense your body not as a thing but as a field of sensation,
Of movement,
Of mystery.
As a vessel for your unique essence and imprint and other intelligence coming through.
Your scalp,
Can you feel it tingling with life,
Alive with sensation?
What a miracle this crown of yours where thoughts are born and dreams enter.
Your forehead,
Soft,
Spacious,
Can you give it permission to melt as if you're unwrinkling a scroll of old worry and placing it gently aside.
Your eyes are those sweet gateways,
Just let them rest in their sockets.
Let the seeing turn inward towards soul,
Towards softness.
Your cheeks,
Your jaw,
Have they held perhaps too much for too long?
Let them slacken,
Let them let go,
They've done enough,
There's nothing for them to hold.
Let them receive,
Bring your breath to your mouth,
Let your lips part ever so slightly.
Feeling the warmth,
The tenderness of being human here.
And now your neck,
What a bridge,
Holding up thoughts,
Bearing the weight of so many words.
Can you offer it some grace now?
Soften,
Go lower to your collarbones,
To your shoulders,
Those ever carrying wings.
Can you let them drape downward,
Like silk sliding off a shelf?
Down into your arms,
Your strong,
Capable,
Loving arms,
They have reached for others,
They have held and been held,
Let them rest now.
Elbows,
Wrists,
Hands,
Oh your hands,
So much they've touched.
Let them feel your lap,
Let them feel you.
Draw awareness into your chest,
Your beloved heart space.
A whole galaxy of feeling and intelligence lives here.
Let your breath move through this amazing galactic space like wind through trees.
Can you sense your heartbeat?
That steady rhythm,
A pulse of yes,
I am here.
I am alive,
I am life.
You are your own special piece of life,
A vital part of the whole.
Feeling now your ribs,
Your diaphragm,
Your belly.
What if you could just let them rise and fall freely?
Let them be breathed,
No judgment,
No pulling in,
Just wave your arms and legs.
Waves of breath,
Just buoyancy.
And your belly,
Your home of intuition,
Of creation,
Of courage.
Place a hand here if you wish and say hello.
Your pelvis,
Your hips,
Let them widen,
Deepen,
Open.
Fill them with this breath,
This life.
This part is the seat of you.
The cradle of your wildness,
Offer it reverence.
Down to your legs now,
Your thighs,
Knees,
Calves.
Feel the density,
The structure.
They carry you,
They root you,
And they long for your thanks.
To your ankles,
Your feet,
Oh sacred feet.
They've touched earth,
Sand,
Stone.
They've taken you through sorrow and celebration.
Feel their connection to the ground beneath you.
Offer them devotion,
As does the earth that welcomes them.
And now breathe in as if your whole body is porous.
Let breath move through you.
A river of presence.
A song of affection.
You are not in a body.
You are a body.
A living,
Breathing,
Feeling miracle.
Rest in this wholeness,
This love,
This you.
And when you're ready,
Bring a small smile to your lips.
A thank you,
A yes,
Welcome home.
And you can stay in this welcome as long as you like.
