Release the day and drift away. When crossing the portal into sleep, our bodies like to go through a process of feeling safe and cosy, of putting the day we have had away with positivity and welcoming the seeping of relaxation into our bones, as the tense and weary parts of ourselves sing their song of having lived another precious day. I created this meditation to take you through that portal into sleep. To release the day and drift away. Snuggle down and settle in, sleeping beauties. A delicious night's sleep awaits you. It's time to get all cozy and nasty and snuggle down into sleep.

It's time to put the day away.

Let's do that first.

So just take some time to get your body nice and comfy.

And feel the quiet of the night and the darkness in your breath.

You're breathing easily in and out.

Just checking in again,

Sinking in again to that inner movement and releasing into it.

Waves of breath,

Easy breath.

In and out like a sigh.

And as you do that,

You might feel your day coming back to you,

Rising up inside you,

Everything that happened today.

Give yourself a minute or two to review your day.

Just as you listen here to the music,

Think about the good things that happened and even allow some of the things that are on your mind,

Maybe more challenging things to arise to.

They just want to be processed so that you will be able to sleep well.

Let's take a minute here.

You can take a moment to thank life for what it's brought to you today.

Everything carries meaning.

Sometimes it's a message,

Sometimes it's a lesson and sometimes it's something simply to be savoured and appreciated.

Let's take a moment to honour the flow of life that you are and are in and that this day was a part of.

And then let go of the day.

It's over now.

Anything unfinished can wait.

There will be another day.

Now you can completely release today and look forward to a delicious sleep.

So as you breathe,

With every exhale,

Just say to yourself,

I let go of the day now.

It is time for rest.

Everybody lays down tools.

Everybody needs their rest.

Bless everyone you were in contact with today and honour yourself for showing up and doing your best.

And just let the day go.

Feel your muscles relax.

With every exhale,

Feel the tension leaving your body releasing.

And now feel the bed that you're in and how you're resting and releasing there right now.

Feel the sweet call to rest inside of you.

Feel yourself answering that call with an inner smile welcoming this.

You can enjoy the feelings,

All the feelings of fatigue and weariness in your muscles and your bones singing their song of release.

Unwinding all those sensations of uncoiling,

Releasing.

Feeling into your body the hum and the thrum of your body relaxing and settling in.

Enjoy the cosiness here,

Snuggling in the softness of your body.

The sweetness of your pillow,

The sweetness of the support of your mattress,

That sweet support you can just release into it.

And just feeling the soft and gentle flow of your body.

It's changing rhythm now.

You can yawn,

You can sigh.

You can hear your breath on the inside.

Now tune into something beautiful in your mind that you can dream about as a gateway into dream world.

Maybe it's a beautiful space,

A place you love.

A deep green meadow.

A flower or a field of flowers.

Or water,

Clouds or a space of light.

Maybe there's a sound you enjoy.

Be with that.

Let it be the start of a dream.

The beginning of an inner movie just like the images come and the images go and the inside of you travel.

You're inside the movie.

Let your body just dissolve into all the spaces.

Submerge yourself in the inner dream world and the sensations inside you submerge.

Give your body over to the healing within.

Give your body over to sleep and dreams.

Let your body just dissolve into all the spaces.
