Through these interconnected practices, individuals will cultivate a more positive and balanced inner dialogue, enhance their emotional regulation skills, and promote overall emotional well-being. This course is suitable for anyone experiencing chronic stress or difficulty managing stress or those seeking to develop resilience and improve their emotional responses. Remember that change takes time and effort, so be patient and persistent in your practice.


Meet your Teacher

As a respected Yoga Instructor based in the Chicagoland area, AhnaOM's main goal is to lead others down the path of self-discovery. Since 2001 she has regularly practiced yoga and engaged the 8-limbs in her own journey to healing. AhnaOM has since earned her certification in not only in yoga instruction, but also earned a specialty certificate in Yoga for Cancer (y4c) and completed several hundred hours in yoga therapy courses. This is in addition to her formal education and degree in Applied Psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She has since crafted and honed her experiences to benefit others on their own unique journey, meeting them where they are with non-judgement. Having the chance to share all that AhnaOM has learned along the way with her students fills her with joy!

Lesson 3 combines positive affirmations for thought substitution and a simple yoga practice to promote positive self-talk and emotional well-being. By integrating affirmations into the yoga practice, we engage both the mind and body, creating a holistic approach for reshaping negative self-talk. This combination enhances self-awareness, cultivates a positive mindset, and deepens the mind-body connection. The practice fosters self-confidence, self-belief, and a sense of empowerment. Through regular repetition and commitment, this integrated approach helps transform self-perception, promotes emotional regulation, and nurtures a healthier mindset.
