Welcome to the final practice in our three-part series.
The series has focused on disentanglement from false and limiting self perceptions we've imposed by our psychological imprints.
We have engaged in self-study using basic breath awareness as the conduit and we have self-identified samskaras or the grooves dug through repetitive behaviors to begin labeling them and redirecting focus away from those that are negative.
Today we will engage in contemplative exercises known as mantras that can be used again and again in order to arrive in an intuitive transparent vision of self.
As in the previous two practices today's practice will also be done in a relaxed seated position in order to maintain active engagement.
I further encourage you to recite the mantras while facing a mirror looking yourself directly in the eye.
It gives power to your words.
Let's begin our journey.
Come to a natural relaxing breath.
Seal your lips and begin breathing in and out of your nose.
Breathing through the nose forces us to slow down reducing tension and stress.
Gently and naturally without force let your breath come in and go out.
Notice where you're holding tension and begin to release it.
Unclench your jaw.
Soften your forehead.
Now relax your neck and your shoulders and your upper back.
Let's take one round of resurrection breath that we practiced in series two.
Inhale look over your left shoulder as you exhale out your mouth.
Inhale back to center turning to your right shoulder breathing out through pursed lips.
Inhale back to center.
Return now to your natural easy breath.
We will now run through a series of mantras which are just simple chants of short phrases.
These mantras are packed with energy and intention.
They are meant to be intentionally repeated in order to penetrate the depths of the unconscious mind shifting you away from those negative ideas fears or desires.
The more you recite these the more the positive messages get ingrained in your mind.
I will recite each mantra once followed by its intention.
Listen first then we will repeat each of these five more times.
Stay conscious of how each mantra makes you feel from within.
Then when we are finished make a list of any mantras that you personally found to have resonated deeply with you.
These are your personal mantras that you can recite whenever you want to harnessing the power of your mind gaining strength and positive energy.
I believe I can and so I will.
This mantra invites you to be conscious of your negative thoughts and self-talk because as we have studied in series two negative thoughts lose control over you once you shed light on them.
What you focus on the most decides the course of your life.
A simple change of focus from what you cannot do to what you can can bring a massive difference to your outlook.
So whenever you encountered self-defeating thoughts use this mantra to change your mindset from negative to positive.
Let's begin reciting this five times together.
I believe I can and so I will.
I believe I can and so I will.
I believe I can and so I will.
I believe I can and so I will.
I believe I can and so I will.
Next mantra.
.
.
I I am enough just as I am.
Use this positive mantra to remind yourself that you don't need to prove anything to anybody or live up to anybody's expectations.
You do not need anyone to complete you or add to you.
The moment you realize this you become liberated.
This is a simple straightforward mantra to remind yourself that you have what it takes to achieve all your dreams just as you are.
Let's repeat together.
I am enough just as I am.
I am enough just as I am.
I am enough just as I am.
I am enough just as I am.
I am enough just as I am.
Next mantra.
I choose me first.
Always putting other people first causes burnout.
It's not selfish to put your health,
Goals,
Wants or needs in front of others.
Actually it's selfless because you cannot serve others from an empty cup.
Use this mantra to remind yourself to put yourself first.
Learn to say no to things that do not serve you and start giving priority to what you want to do.
Let's recite this together.
I choose me first.
I choose me first.
I choose me first.
I choose me first.
I choose me first.
Next mantra.
I choose to be part of the solution.
There are many things you cannot control and some things that you can and while you cannot control someone else's behavior for example,
You can control your own reaction.
This mantra helps you shift from wasting your energy by focusing on the problem and instead age you in finding a solution.
Let's chant this together five times.
I choose to be part of the solution.
I choose to be part of the solution.
I choose to be part of the solution.
I choose to be part of the solution.
I choose to be part of the solution.
Next mantra.
I will rest when I am tired but I will not quit.
Use this mantra to remind yourself that it's okay to slow down,
To take a break,
To breathe and relax so long as you don't give up.
Don't worry about how fast someone else is going.
Do things at your own pace but keep doing them consistently and you're bound to reach your goals.
Let's recite this together.
I will rest when I am tired but I will not quit.
I will rest when I am tired but I will not quit.
I will rest when I am tired but I will not quit.
I will rest when I am tired but I will not quit.
I will rest when I am tired but I will not quit.
Next mantra.
Inhale love and exhale hate.
When you find yourself engaging too much in fear,
Anger,
Hate and resentment,
Use this mantra to refocus your energy on positive emotions instead.
Become aware of your body and use your in-breath to feel positive energy permeating throughout your body and the negative energy leaving your body with every out-breath.
Let's say this together.
Inhale love and exhale hate.
Inhale love and exhale hate.
Inhale love and exhale hate.
Inhale love and exhale hate.
Inhale love and exhale hate.
Next and final mantra for today.
Every day is a new opportunity.
This mantra will help you anchor your attention to the present moment,
Which is truly the only moment you have,
And where the opportunities are.
What has happened has happened,
But today is yours,
And what you do today will bring positive changes in your life,
In the days to come.
Let's repeat this together.
Every day is a new opportunity.
Every day is a new opportunity.
Every day is a new opportunity.
Every day is a new opportunity.
Every day is a new opportunity.
Take a moment here now to pause and write down or revisit those mantras you most connected to.
Even though these mantras are short,
They contain powerful messages that will reprogram your subconscious mind.
Use these or challenge yourself to find new simple phrases that open you up to being your best true self.
I hope you have found these three parts of the three-part series helpful.
I wish you love and light.
Namaste.
