A gentle inner child healing poem for the moments you feel tender, raw, or like you’re carrying too much alone. In this short, heart-centred spoken piece, you’re guided into a soft reparenting / re-mothering moment: taking your “little one” by the hand, offering warmth, repair, and reassurance. It’s an invitation to self-compassion, self-forgiveness, and emotional healing to meet your younger self with kindness and begin releasing the old pattern of shutting your feelings down. This is supportive if you’re healing from emotional neglect, processing childhood wounds, navigating grief, or moving through emotional overwhelm. It can also be grounding for ADHD / neurodivergent minds, simple, repetitive, and soothing to support nervous system regulation and a sense of safety in the body. Best time to listen: evening wind-down, bedtime, or any time you need a gentle reset, comfort, and calm.

A poem to my inner child.

Little one,

I'm here for you.

Little one,

Everything will be okay.

Little one,

Take my hand and feel the blessings.

Allow this touch to heal.

Heal all the times I ignored you.

All the times I shut you down.

All the times I didn't listen.

I told you to be quiet.

I'm sorry,

Today.

Please forgive me.

Thank you for being there for me.

I found it scary to listen before.

But now I'm ready.

Ready to listen.

Ready to hear.

To hear your fears and to hold your tears.

Come closer,

Dear one.

I promise I won't shut you down anymore.

You're welcome here.

I will hold you.

Hold you tightly,

Yet softly.

Dear child,

I love you.

Dear child,

Please forgive me.

For all the times you weren't set free.

Today,

I set you free to open your wings.

I'll encourage you and support you.

Come closer,

Dear one.

Closer into my soft embrace.

You're not alone anymore.

I'm listening.

Listening.

Listening.

Sometimes we can ignore our inner child.

And today,

I invite you to set your inner child free.

My name is Sandhya.

Thank you for listening.
