Welcome,

Beautiful soul,

Wherever you are right now,

Whatever you're moving through,

This is your moment to return to the center of your being,

The place where your flame lives.

This meditation is a gentle remembering,

A reconnection to the creative fire that's always been within you.

I invite you to close your eyes,

To allow your body to soften.

There's no need to hold on to anything for these few minutes.

Maybe you have a movement that your body wants to express in order to find some stillness.

Go ahead and do that.

Allow a sway or a stretch or a shake that's just been holding on inside.

Feel the ground or the support beneath you.

Feel your weight,

The shape of your body in space at this moment.

You might feel your sitz bones on the chair that you're in.

You might feel your back along the ground.

Feel how the supports beneath you,

The ground beneath you hold you so you can be as effortless as possible.

The ground beneath you,

A safe and steady container,

Allowing gravity to hold you.

And begin to breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth,

Slowly and gently in your own time and at your own rhythm,

Inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth.

You might notice the temperature of air as you inhale,

Or you might even imagine your muscles relaxing as you exhale through your mouth.

You might notice as you inhale the filling up of areas of your body,

And as you exhale the emptying out.

You might notice as you inhale the path and the flow of breath through your body.

And as you exhale,

You might notice the retracing of that path and that flow.

Inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth.

If you feel called to,

You can let some sound out with that exhale,

Or you can simply blow gently through your lips.

There is no wrong way to do this.

With each breath,

We're simply arriving a little bit more.

We're simply finding our presence here within our brilliant body.

Inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth.

Now,

Bring your attention to the space just behind the heart.

You might imagine it as a heart fire or a hearth,

Maybe your soul's creative center.

Maybe the spark within you.

Imagine a small flame flickering there at that space just behind your heart.

Golden orange,

Yellows,

Bright light,

Warm and alive.

It might feel ancient.

It might feel familiar.

It might be barely visible or brightly pulsing.

There's no wrong way to see this flame,

To see this flicker.

You might even not see it,

But know it's there.

Feel it or hear the sound of that flicker and flame.

There is no wrong way to experience this.

Just be a witness.

Let this heart fire,

This hearth,

Show you how it's burning today.

Now,

We breathe with the flame.

Inhale slowly for four.

Feel the breath feeding your fire.

Hold for four.

Feel the warmth gathering in your chest.

And exhale for six,

Letting the light expand through your body.

Again,

Inhale,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Hold,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Exhale,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six,

Keep going.

Inhale for four.

Feel the breath feeding your fire.

Hold for four.

Feel the warmth gathering in your chest.

And exhale for six.

Let the light expand through your body.

And keep this going.

Inhale,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Hold,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Exhale,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six,

Breathing this way for the next minute.

In for four,

Hold for four,

Out for six.

Let this breath pattern stoke your flame with gentleness and grace.

Now,

Letting go of that breathing,

Allow that flame,

That heart fire,

That hearth,

That soul creative spark begin to grow just a little.

Now,

Imagine it lighting up your chest,

Casting a gentle,

Soft,

Golden light into the inner landscape of your body,

Your ribs glowing,

Warming,

Your belly softened with the warmth and light,

Your spine lit with a quiet knowing,

Your shoulders warmth radiating out and down the arms,

Up your neck,

Around your head,

Golden warmth expanding out,

Down the hips,

Thighs,

Knees,

Calves,

Feet,

Coming all the way to the tips of all 10 toes,

Lit up,

Expansive,

Gentle,

Glowing warmth of that heart fire,

That hearth within,

That soul creative spark.

This is your source,

Your soul fire.

It holds your stories,

Your art,

Your voice,

Your medicine,

Your memories,

Your expressions.

It is not too much and it is not too little.

It is you.

Let it speak.

You might hear a whisper,

A flicker,

A crackle.

You might feel an image rise,

Sense a word or a color.

Whatever comes,

Honor it.

You don't need to understand it.

Just let it arrive and let it arise.

Now take a moment to place one hand over your heart,

Over this flame.

Silently whispering to yourself,

I remember.

I return.

I trust.

Feel the warmth of your own creative presence.

And know this flame can never go out,

Even if it dims,

Even if it hides.

It's yours.

You belong to it.

It belongs to you.

As we close,

Gently bring your awareness back to your body.

To the space that you're in.

Take a nice deep breath through your nose.

Open your mouth and sigh it out.

Feel the vibration of your voice in your chest,

Your throat,

Your mouth.

And when you're ready,

Open your eyes.

Carry your flame with you.

Tend to it.

Create with it.

Witness it.

Acknowledge it.

And share it,

But only when you feel ready.

It is yours.

Always.

It has always been here within you.

Thank you so much for joining me on this short meditation.
