Priyanka has been practicing yoga since 1994 & teaching yoga, meditation & pranayam (breathwork) since 2012. She taught in India until moving to Canada in June 2019. Priyanka's blends Vipassana, Yoga, & Buddhist philosophies in her guided meditations. Priyanka doesn't play music during sessions, as it serves as a distraction and takes one away from inculcating stillness, especially if the music doesn’t resonate with a practitioner. I’m a hairy person from back East with Northern European heritage. More specifically, I’m from Buffalo, where the season are winter and the Fourth of July. So, summer in this time of global warming gives me ample opportunity to practice being with what is and not being in aversion to my discomfort during hot weather. I felt the care and compassion from this teacher. Her words helped bring me into the present and enabled me to get in touch with my sadness. I felt the real essence of her expressions. I am grateful for this meditation.
