Hello.
Nice to see you.
Please find your comfortable seat,
However that is.
Welcome.
Welcome to your daily practice.
Each of us,
It's a moment to reconnect,
To realign to what really matters,
And to find that space within ourselves to remember why we're here,
What it means to be human,
And how we have a choice each day.
So we have a choice each day in where we put our intention,
Where we put our attention.
It's actually what is so powerful about our minds is realizing we can really create what we put our focus on.
And I wanted to try to explain today because it took me quite a while to understand the idea of what awareness is,
Becoming aware,
Waking up,
Connecting to that divine witness,
That part of us that is wiser,
More compassionate,
That seems to just know.
And I remember very pivotal points in my life when I made choices.
For instance,
When I decided to teach meditation,
It came to me through a dream.
And then when I decided to sign up to spend two years studying neuroscience and Buddhism and psychology,
How I had this feeling,
It didn't come through my mind.
It came through an intuitive part of me that felt compelled to do something different.
And somehow in our culture,
In my culture,
I'm American,
I was educated in a way that I needed to strive for things to get them,
That I needed to really go into the state of wanting,
Striving for something.
And how actually through the years,
I've begun to really see more clearly that if we,
Or if I would show up to my life fully with my full presence,
That means taking full responsibility for every part of myself,
Especially the parts of myself that I didn't like.
My parts of myself that felt unworthy,
That felt that they weren't good enough,
That I could actually use and transform those parts of myself by having compassion for them.
And so my life shifted when I began making choices from that part of myself that was all accepting,
All forgiving.
And that instead of striving for things,
To become something,
Things start to come to you.
It's like we have to let go of that part of our mind that wants to control,
Because that part of our mind that's trying so hard to get a grasp on things,
That's trying so hard and clinging to all of these ideas that we have about ourself and what's going on.
It's that that keeps us from stepping into that part of ourself that is at ease and trusting in the moment.
And it's then that we can begin to see how everything that we are facing individually in our life is all that you truly need to grow.
It's like,
Oh my God,
I've been striving and running after so many different things,
But if I just figure out how to deal with what's in front of me at this moment,
Like not even in a week,
But just today,
What do I need to do?
Can I show up for it with full openness and this with an attitude of,
I want to say an attitude of gratitude that in some magical,
Beautiful way,
Life begins to unfold.
So we're going to begin our meditation today.
I'd like to focus on stepping into our creator self.
So stepping into this divine part of us and beginning to see our life through a different lens,
Not as,
Not through the lens of fear,
But more through a lens of curiosity about what is occurring in your life,
A receptivity to everything that there is around you already to support you,
To guide you,
That maybe you don't see yet,
But that it's there.
And it's really a different way of living every day.
Every day becomes like something you're excited for.
So thank you for listening and for being here,
Turning our gaze inwards,
Closing your eyes if you're comfortable,
Otherwise just gazing down at the floor in front of you,
Turning off the external so that you can turn your gaze inwards and check in with yourself,
Scanning and sensing your body,
Noticing any sensations,
Feelings,
Emotions,
Noticing how your mind is this morning or wherever you are today.
Is it busy or are you feeling and noticing clarity and stability in your mind?
Just notice.
You don't need to judge it.
How is your body feeling?
Beginning this dialogue internally is really the key to beginning to understand the way that we speak to ourselves and how so often we're our own worst critic.
And that's okay.
That's what we do.
That's what the mind does.
That we have a way out and that way out is by going through and embracing all of those parts of us.
So complex,
So intricate,
So beautiful.
We each are.
So can you welcome all of the parts of you right now?
Feeling the weight of your body as it anchors down into the cushion or chair,
Feeling that sense of being supported by the ground beneath you.
May we all express appreciation and gratitude for Mother Nature,
Mother Earth,
Gaia,
The soil that nourishes us.
Taking a moment to express gratitude to all of the animal realms.
Imagining all of the plants and trees,
Flowers.
The lushness and the beauty of the planet that has its own magnetic field.
And if we connect to that magnetic field,
Not only does it support us,
But it gives us so much wisdom.
Also feeling the connection to the earth plane beneath you and allowing that to come up through your spine.
Neutralizing your own nervous system.
And then let's breathe together.
Inhale deeply through your nose as you lengthen your spine.
Feeling the air as it comes all the way up to the top of your head.
Taking some more air and suspend your breath.
Exhale out your mouth.
Inhale that sense of purging and letting go of tension in the body.
Exhaling it out.
Make some sound.
Exhale all the air out.
Hold the air out.
And then breathe in again.
As you inhale,
Filling up the four corners of your lungs.
Taking some more air.
Suspend your breath.
Exhale out your mouth.
Take the time exhaling,
Releasing.
Exhaling tension as it drains out of your body.
Down into the ground,
Feel your body anchoring and rooting.
Hold the air out.
And then breathe in again.
Inhaling,
Lengthening,
Connecting to your spine.
Breathe in.
Take some more air in.
Relax your shoulders.
And exhale.
Exhaling,
Releasing,
Allowing the four corners of your mind to go down into your tailbone,
Down into the center of the earth,
Coming into your body.
Exhale all the air out.
Lingering in the pause.
As you're ready,
Gently closing your lips and breathing in and out through your nose.
Turning your gaze towards your breath will allow for your mind to settle down.
Like giving a dog a bone,
When you're focusing on your breath,
Your mind will become more clear and stable,
Keeping it busy by focusing on each inhalation and each exhalation.
Making sure that each breath you breathe in as much as you can.
Always taking a moment to pause the top of the inhale before taking the time to follow your exhale,
Taking the time.
Slowing down,
Slowing down,
Exhaling all the air out.
Lingering at the bottom of the exhale,
Taking the time to rest in the pause before breathing in again.
Really enjoying and loving your breath.
Just imagining our very first breath.
And how this beautiful breath keeps us sustained,
Alive.
Take a minute just to really enjoy your own breath.
And this simple exercise of aligning to your breath will be what will allow for your mind to settle down so that you can really come into your body,
Come into the present moment.
Opening your senses,
Listening to any sounds in your space.
What does the sound of silence sound like?
Not necessarily naming the sounds,
Just opening up the sense of listening.
And noticing when you do that how something seems to awaken,
This sensitivity,
This receptivity.
Feel the touch of the air upon your skin.
Feeling the weight of any clothes you have on your body.
Feeling the pressure of your body wherever it's touching the ground and letting yourself sink in just a little bit more as your body softens.
Turning on your inner ear,
Listening within.
What's going on for you within yourself?
Where have you been feeling challenged?
Struggling at war with yourself?
Just notice.
Allow yourself to be vulnerable.
To be really honest.
With either how tired you are,
Stretched,
Confused.
This is a time for you to take inventory of your internal landscape from a compassionate,
Wise part of you.
And instead of turning towards yourself with judgment,
You're not good enough,
You're not doing this right.
How would it feel like if you would turn towards yourself with kindness?
Feeling a cloak of compassion gently being lifted on your shoulders.
Gentleness and kindness.
You're exactly where you need to be right now to grow and you're showing up.
Tapping into the more subtle realms,
Noticing and remembering that you have your ancestors behind you,
Their stories,
Their strengths,
Their knowledge runs through your veins,
In your DNA.
And we may not like change because it's uncomfortable,
But change is always here for us to grow wiser,
Stronger,
More courageous,
And more compassionate.
Above you,
Calling in all of your light family,
Your team,
Just imagine them if you don't know yet exactly who they are or imagine teachers,
Mentors.
How do you envision the divine?
How would it feel to be seated in front of the great masters?
How would it feel to be in the arms of the divine mother?
Holding you,
Soothing you,
Reminding you that you are on the right path to awaken.
Watching your hands on your body,
Feeling the pressure of your hands holding you.
Just allow yourself to soften and feel held.
Today may I let go of my fears and anxiety so I can feel held and allow life to unfold for me.
Building your heart,
Bringing into your mind's eye the highest version of you.
Imagine yourself a year from now or five years or ten.
Where do you want to be?
See yourself.
Really use your imagination to feel what it feels like to be you.
Understanding what you love.
Who are you surrounded by?
What country are you in?
Are there mountains?
Are there lakes?
Are there rivers?
The ocean?
Can you put yourself there?
And who are you with?
And breathe here in this newer version,
More evolved,
More creative.
You.
Let's breathe together in this highest potential of you.
Breathe in,
Breathing it into the center of your heart.
Exhale.
Exhaling,
Releasing.
Letting go of what doesn't serve you.
What belief pattern or behavior is holding you back?
Breathing in.
Acceptance.
Accepting everything that we are now so that we can merge with our higher power.
Feeling that connection.
Breathe in again.
And exhale.
Exhaling.
Releasing.
Really feeling this connection to your open heart,
That divine part of you.
Stepping back and becoming the witness of your breath,
Of your body,
Of you now.
Can you hold yourself with compassion today?
Can you see your own struggles and pain as portals to really access this deeper part of you,
A deeper understanding?
And that it takes time to uncover these layers,
So we need to learn to be patient with ourselves.
So as you step out into your day or night,
May you stay connected to this divine presence that you are beyond the mind,
Beyond the personality,
Beyond all of the narratives.
It's really learning to step back and trust yet again every day to practice because the mind will always want to come back in and tell us more stories and more stories,
But remember when you did that,
But remember.
And this is knowing that the mind will do that.
That's what the mind does.
We have 40,
50,
000 thoughts a day and three quarters of them are negative.
We have this,
What's called the negativity bias to be more protective of ourselves so we don't make mistakes.
It doesn't come from a bad.
It's our nature.
But now more than ever as time is accelerating and it seems like there's more chaos,
It's really that moment for you to hone in on you and what you need to do for yourself in this.
Naturally,
When you step into yourself,
You will be coming from a place of more openness towards others and helping others being at service.
But first we need to really get into ourselves and see what is,
We need to deal with,
You know,
Our own darkness and judgment.
So thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you.
The more that we can each step away from trying to control and letting things come to us because they do,
It's quite miraculous to begin to see that how it does work in that way.
It's like the whole idea of letting go of expectations about the way things should be so that we can show up fully.
It's not like,
Okay,
I'm going to let go of expectations but then I'm just going to,
You know,
Get drunk.
No.
Or get stoned.
It's like I'm going to show up fully today with my fears,
My anxieties.
I'm going to acknowledge them.
I'm going to accompany them and then just this miraculous way that life gives back through a phone call or having a realization being next to a tree.
It's not even like,
It's a practice.
So thank you so much and please join me tomorrow.
If you're here,
You can be there tomorrow.
I mean,
It's a time.
I don't,
I'm trying to create a circle more intimate and where we really,
I'd like for us to get to know each other,
To be seen.
I'd like for us to really grow together and to cultivate together more.
So you can try these classes.
It's free if you sign up the first two weeks on Transform Ibiza.
I'm going to see,
It's a Zoom meeting.
I'd like for us to be able to share more freely after.
It's not going to,
It's going to be similar to what we do here,
But there's going to be more sharing.
And if you have questions,
We can like talk to each other.
So great.
So please join tomorrow.
It's called Deepening into yourself.
We're going to see what we can create together and it's on Transform Ibiza.
You sign up,
It's for free and then it's not,
It's like they have super cool classes,
Other things.
So you sign up and you can do all these other classes too.
And they're amazing teachers.
So love you.
Thank you.
