Hi,

Good morning,

Good day.

We are going to begin our daily meditation and I'm offering these meditations as a way,

As a guidance for you to realize that you can do this every day for yourself.

And I do recommend every day because our minds are really very,

Very powerful and can be very useful.

But I also know how much power our minds have when they take over with self-limiting beliefs and worries and doubts and just how much we can tell ourselves stories.

And so when we create the space for ourself each day like you are creating for yourself,

On so many different levels it is healing.

It's allowing you to notice how often you repeat stories,

We all do,

About the past,

Repeating catastrophizing about the future,

Over analyzing and just inhabiting this world of judgment within our minds.

And once we learn to step back from our life and to take this very short time during the day,

It really,

When you think about there's 24 hours in a day,

Why is it so hard to sit for 20,

30 minutes?

It's because we get addicted to those stories and then those stories run our lives and then we create systems out of those stories and then those systems run our planet.

So this is an opportunity for each and every one of us because we're all at different phases,

Different times in our lives.

But the one thing that we all have in common is that we have this capacity to transform ourselves by looking into our own set of beliefs and our own patterns and our behaviors,

Our addictive behaviors,

The ways that we cover up our pain because addiction is no other than a repression of pain and hiding in the shadows of our beings underneath these addictive behaviors,

Whether it's drugs or for myself it was alcohol or food or sex or shopping,

Spending money or just gossiping,

Judging others,

Spending your life and your mind negatively thinking about yourself and others.

That's an addiction.

So I'm opening up this space for us each to inquire into who we are and those beliefs that run our lives and the stories and to understand that underneath all of those stories and every single one of us there is this infinite resource and there are many names for it.

It can be your authentic self,

Your heart.

It can be consciousness within you,

Your divine essence,

But it's a feeling.

It's not in the mind.

It's something that is embodied when you tune into it.

So it isn't really something that you have to comprehend.

On the contrary,

It's quieting the mind so we can dive in.

So let's begin.

Begin by closing your eyes,

Turning your gaze inwards and meeting yourself exactly where you are.

Let's begin by setting our intention so that we have a focus for our practice.

So by checking in with yourself,

Ask yourself what it is that you,

What is it that you need today to feel more embraced,

More held,

To feel more connected to who you truly are within.

And if you don't even know what that is,

That's fine.

Simply state,

For my highest good,

I sit right now.

And then state your intention three times.

Let it resonate in your body,

For my highest good,

For my highest good,

I sit.

May my heart awaken.

And then feel the weight of your body.

Is it supported by the cushion or the seat or the chair?

You can lie down and let your body feel the weight of gravity.

Let it soften.

And I know how hard it is some days to let go of the stories and the scripts running through your mind.

So often it's best to align to our breathing.

So let's take three deep breaths together to align to our breath.

Inhaling through your nose,

Taking in some more air.

And then exhale out your mouth with a sigh.

Exhale all the air out.

Use the air out of your belly,

Anchoring yourself into the ground.

Bring your belly button to your spine and then hold the air out.

Slowing down your mind,

Slowing down your body.

And then breathe in again,

Filling up your lungs,

Lifting your spine.

Breathing in more air.

Suspend your breath.

And exhale out your mouth with a sigh.

Exhale all the air out.

Make some sound.

Really let it go.

Let go of your breath.

Squeeze out the air of your abdomen.

Squeeze it all the way out.

Really empty out your belly.

And then hold the air out.

You can put a hand on your belly.

Really make sure it's empty.

Notice the stillness in your body.

Focusing on your breath.

And then breathe in again a nice deep breath.

Widen your shoulders.

Lengthen your spine.

Make some more air in.

Really filling up the four corners of your lungs.

And exhale.

Exhale deeply,

Letting go,

Letting go,

Letting go of the stories,

Releasing the air from your belly.

Empty all the way out.

Bringing your navel to your spine.

Hold the air out.

Bow your head towards your heart.

Turn your gaze inwards.

Notice the stillness.

And then breathing naturally now.

Closing your mouth.

Breathing in and out through your nose.

Feeling your breath.

Noticing the qualities of your own breath as you breathe.

Is your breath rough or smooth?

Is it a deep or a more shallow breath?

Really giving yourself permission to feel what it does it feel like to breathe.

And this will allow for your mind to gently settle down.

Also bringing the four corners of your mind down into your body.

Acknowledging the ground beneath you.

You might want to touch the ground with one of your hands.

Feel its solidity,

Its stillness.

Taking a moment to thank the ground beneath us for its support and nourishment,

All of our food.

The water that keeps us hydrated.

The air that we breathe.

Remembering that we are made up from the same molecules as the ground beneath us.

So let your body ground,

Root.

Focusing roots,

Extending out from the bottom part of your body.

Anchoring you.

Growing as the trees and connecting to each and everyone's roots.

Remembering that support.

Remembering that's how trees grow to be as high as they do because of their roots.

Extending into the ground.

We can feel each other's roots connecting,

Supporting one another for our practice.

Letting your body soften down a little bit more.

And noticing if your mind wanders,

Just acknowledging it and then bring your attention back to your breath.

And if it happens often,

That's fine.

Don't judge yourself or think you're not doing it right.

That's part of meditating is noticing how often we get pulled into our stories.

So inviting you to bring your attention to the top of your head.

Noticing any sensations there.

Any tightness.

And then feel a softening.

Let your eyes go down and back in the sockets.

Allow your eyes to be supported and held by your eye sockets.

Bringing your awareness into your ears and noticing any sounds around you.

Softening your inner ears and listening within your body.

What is present for you today as you sit.

Welcoming all of the parts of you.

And giving yourself permission to be vulnerable.

And as you turn your gaze inwards,

Notice any struggles.

Any tightness or any resistance.

And breathing in and out of your heart.

Becoming aware of any emotions that you're holding that are asking for your attention.

Is there fear of uncertainty or grief for someone or something maybe that you've lost?

Ask yourself.

How am I feeling?

And let your body respond.

And bringing a hand to your heart and your belly.

Turning towards yourself with a kind and compassionate presence.

I know I've been feeling a lot of stress and tension.

So now I'm just letting myself feel into that tension.

And let's take three deep breaths together.

So inhaling,

Feeling a sense of expansion and acceptance.

Suspend your breath.

And exhale deeply with a sigh.

Exhale all the air out.

Really feeling into your body,

Holding your pain,

Frustration.

And then breathe in again.

Take in some more air.

And exhale.

Exhale letting go.

Letting go of any stress,

Any anxiety.

Releasing.

And then breathe in again.

Taking in some more air.

And exhale.

Really feel it draining out of the bottom part of your body.

Letting go.

Letting go.

Letting go.

Noticing the stillness in your body.

Bringing your attention to your heart.

And underneath all of the stories,

Frustrations,

Inviting you to tap into your own heart and what it is that you value the most.

What is it that is the most important to you that matters the most?

And tap into that.

And as you bow your head,

Connect to that part of you.

And then asking yourself what it is that is holding you back.

Where in your life are you feeling resistance?

What habit?

What pattern or behavior is keeping you from connecting to this part of you?

And your body knows.

So resist the urge to go into the mind and stay with your bodily sensations.

Stay with your breath.

For me,

The worst part of myself that gets in the way is my judgment mind.

Critiquing myself.

Judging.

So simply notice those areas in your life where you are getting in the way of yourself.

Just acknowledge that we speak to ourselves worse than we would speak to an enemy.

So simply acknowledge one way that you get in the way of yourself.

And then inviting you now to turn towards yourself with compassion.

Yes,

I do that.

And embrace that part of you that just wants attention.

Just wants it care and to be seen.

And imagine that you're holding a child version of you.

Or if it's easier,

You can imagine holding your own child.

And rock gently.

Extending kindness and compassion towards those parts of yourself that are simply trying to protect you.

May they feel safe.

May they feel seen.

May they feel validated.

So really feeling in your hands how it feels to express love to yourself.

And notice if your mind tries to get in the way.

And then come back into your body and try again.

And then breathe in a deep sense of expansion and acceptance into your chest.

Flushing your heart.

Acknowledging your pain.

And exhale.

Releasing.

Letting go.

Breathing in again.

A deep sense of forgiveness for yourself.

I forgive myself.

Breathing in again.

I trust myself.

Exhaling all the air out.

Savoring this deep connection now to your heart,

To your authentic self.

Aligning to this divine resonance within each of us.

Within you.

And breathing here.

Staying in your body.

Staying with your sensations.

Staying the ground beneath you.

Stepping back and becoming this divine witness to your breath,

To your body.

And understanding that you and that we all are exactly where we need to be precisely in our own lives to grow and to learn.

Each of these challenges that we are meeting in our lives are there to teach us specifically where we need it.

So it's not what we want.

It's what we need.

Just remembering that.

So if you can step into your day with this presence,

This sense of being grounded in your body in the moment.

And noticing from this sense of safety and awareness can come your thoughts and your attitudes.

It's this alignment that I'm inviting you to step out into your day with.

And it isn't easy.

It's a practice.

It takes practice.

But every day there will be a subtle shift when you notice I've gone into my mind again.

I'm analyzing.

I'm judging.

I'm criticizing myself.

And then you develop a relationship with that part of you.

Understanding that that part that once helped you survive is now asking for your attention and it's like taking off the weights or the shackles.

So I've had quite a few questions about how difficult it is to maintain this throughout the day so that you feel like this during meditation but then you step out and it's gone.

But that's the practice of being present.

So yes,

It's work.

Sometimes it seems easier to go and have a drink or go and start with them.

It's easier.

It's like yes,

But this is how we transform ourselves.

It's by taking responsibility for who we are and owning our triggers and parenting those parts of ourselves that need attention.

So I'm aware of time and I would love to offer these shorter eventually because I know for some people it's a commitment but it's still yeah.

This is the time.

It is so I love you.

Thank you for showing up.

Thank you for believing in yourself.

It's an internal job and it's really tough these days.

I know but I've really never felt more and more that this is a way to stay grounded during the chaos and we need to do this now.

It's for us to clearly feel better but then we step up and we can help our families.

We can radiate this awareness and to guide others and you are each one of those people.

So it's not it's I'm doing this for you to show others.

That's that's all.

So I'm so happy to have you back my friends and I love you again and I'll see you tomorrow.

And yes stay strong.

Yes stay strong everybody.

We can do this.

We're doing it.

This is this is how we do it.

And I'll see you tomorrow.
