Wrap yourself in a warm cocoon of peaceful and grounded energy as a buffer between you and outside influences. This is a great practice before going to the grocery store, meetings, or anywhere you dread going.

My name is Sadie and I'm a yogi in recovery.

This activity is to create a buffer for your energy field as you move out through your day.

Please come to standing with your arms hanging down by your sides like mountain pose.

Let your arms be heavy and loose and put a little bend in your knees as you begin to bounce on your heels.

Bounce lightly to start.

Now a little bit harder,

A little bit harder.

One more time,

A little bit harder.

Let your arms hang loose and heavy.

Gently turn your head from side to side and now slowly bounce a little bit lighter,

Incrementally a little bit lighter,

And so on until you find yourself back to a still mountain pose.

And when you get there,

Please drop your attention down into the palms of your hands and notice any sensations you're experiencing there.

This is your energy field.

Start to bring your hands toward each other,

Eyes closed if you can,

Until you're holding the size of like a volleyball.

This is a glowing orb of light.

What color is it today?

Next you'll take this light and create an egg-shaped dome around your whole body to preserve your energy field.

Start by bringing your hands up over your head.

As you draw your hands apart from each other and down the sides of your head,

Down your shoulders,

And all the way down to your feet,

Imagine this light sinking down through your whole body.

And when you bend down to your feet,

Bring the light out in front of you.

Slowly draw it up,

This light glowing from your inner body,

Vibrating,

Radiating out.

When you get back up to the top of your head,

Take it behind you,

Down the back of your head,

Your upper back,

Middle back,

Low back,

The backs of your legs,

All the way down to your feet.

And slowly find your way back up to a still and steady mountain pose.

Imagine this egg of light holding you.

You're suspended in it,

Glowing from the inside out.

It acts like a buffer.

Take this with you wherever you go today to preserve your energy and keep other energy from outside getting in.
