Good morning and welcome to this new day.
I'm Sadie Barr and I'm delighted to share this grounding and energizing meditation with you.
The first 20 minutes after waking is the most powerful time to set the tone and rhythm for your day.
Today will include some gentle movement so please proceed with awareness of your body.
Okay let's get started.
Please stand up and set your feet on the earth a little wider than your hips with your toes pointed slightly outward.
Take your hands to your hips,
Lower your gaze down toward the earth and feel your feet connecting with the earth.
Stand rooted and grounded in your feet and looking down at the earth repeat after me.
Today I am rooted and grounded.
Today I am supported and loved.
Today I am calm and energized.
Today I am rooted and grounded.
Today I am supported and loved.
Today I am calm and energized.
Good now standing rooted and grounded in your feet on an inhale lift your heart up towards the sky and exhale to let it fall back down to center.
Inhale lifting the sternum the heart center upward and exhale to let it come back down.
A couple more times just like that.
Good now on your next inhale reach your heart up and take your arms back behind you in space.
On your exhale return your arms and your heart to center.
Inhale to reach your heart up and take your arms back.
Exhale to return to center.
A few more times just like that.
Inhale to rise,
Energize and exhale to lower and ground.
Good now step your feet in to about hips distance and take your arms down by your sides.
Spread your fingers out wide.
Stretch your fingers out and now reach your arms out wide and up toward the sky.
Bring your palms together overhead and draw the hands down the center line of your body stopping at your heart.
Bring your thumbs into contact with your sternum with your heart center and with your eyes closed and your attention at the heart consider something that you feel grateful for.
Bring your arms back down by your sides.
You'll do that same motion with the arms but pair the breath with it.
So inhale to reach your arms wide and up.
Stretch your fingertips to the sky.
Palms together and exhale your hands down to your heart.
And then again arms by your sides.
Inhale wide stretch your fingers reach up grow tall palms together and exhale the palms down to the heart.
One more time inhaling the arms wide growing expanding reaching energizing and exhale the palms down to your heart.
Eyes at the heart once again with your awareness inward and downward at your heart center consider another thing that you feel grateful for.
Good.
Now please find a seat and close your eyes.
You can sit on a chair the edge of a couch the side of your bed the floor.
Find your seat comfortable.
Sit tall with your head over your shoulders and your shoulders over your hips.
Bring your awareness to the crown of your head right there on the top in the middle and imagine a beam of light starting at your head and making its way down the center line of your body to the space behind your eyebrows.
And then down to the throat to the heart center right there between your sternum and spine.
Down to the space just above your navel and just below your navel and finally all the way down to your tailbone.
See this beam of white energizing light radiating from your crown all the way down to your tailbone.
We'll now take a slow and deep breath cycle into each of these energy centers.
Breathing at the crown of the head take a deep inhale breathing into the crown of the head watching the light expand and grow and then a slow exhale the light at the crown of the head getting smaller and smaller and smaller.
And then to the space between your brows inhaling the light there gets brighter and bigger and exhaling it draws back into itself.
Good and to the throat inhale deeply and exhale slowly.
And then to the heart and the belly just above the belly button and the lower belly below the belly button.
And finally inhale into the tailbone and exhale.
On every inhale see this beam of light from the crown of the head down to the tailbone glowing brightly at all seven of these energy centers and on the exhale it draws back into itself expanding growing brightening on the inhale grounding rooting and turning within on the exhale.
Good now on your next inhale see this white light get brighter and on the exhale watch the light spread to the rest of your body your arms legs back of the body front of the body the whole body filling up with white energizing light.
Inhale the light gets brighter and exhale the light is moving out into the periphery the limbs the arms the legs the back the front of the body the whole body lighting up.
And a few more times just like that.
Great now please bring your awareness down to your feet to the place where your body is making contact with your seat.
Notice the breath and now start to notice any sounds in the background in the area in which you're sitting.
One more time take your arms out by your sides stretch your fingers wide.
You feel the aliveness and the alertness in your body.
And on your inhale stretch your arms wide and up to the sky bring your palms together and exhale your hands down to your heart.
Bring your thumbs into contact with your sternum your heart center and with your awareness inward and downward to the center of the chest.
All to mind one more thing that you're grateful for.
And say thank you.
And once more repeat after me today I am rooted and grounded.
Today I am supported and loved.
Today I am calm and energized.
And bow your head towards your heart.
Another deep inhale followed by a slow exhale out the mouth.
As you feel ready you can start to open your eyes.
I wish you a day full of joy laughter and calmness.
