Congratulations!
You've made it to day 14.
Two weeks!
This is fantastic.
Thank you.
Alright,
Let's keep going.
Today's a really,
Really special one because all these last two weeks we've been really bringing ourselves back to presence and the here and now and finding the peace within and letting it expand,
Reducing and removing labels.
So now what is hopefully starting to happen for you is a quieting of the extraneous narrative thoughts.
There's this constant stream of chatter that most people have in their minds all day long.
You might notice that that's starting to get quieter.
If it isn't yet,
That is okay.
If it is,
That's pretty awesome actually,
But that's,
You know,
A side effect of this program and what we're doing together.
So with that in mind,
For the next three to five minutes I'd like you to notice the space between your thoughts.
So I'm not asking you to control your thoughts or anything else but just to notice the difference between your thinking and it is quiet.
So as we bring our attention to the space between the thoughts,
That space will start to get bigger because whatever we pay attention to grows stronger.
Bonus lesson for today.
Anyway,
Bring your attention to space between the thoughts.
So take three to five minutes.
Well first write in the prompt you know in your workbook and then take your three to five minutes and devote it to just sitting quietly and noticing when it's quiet.
Now one thing I don't want you to do is to think to yourself,
Oh there's some space between the thoughts because that's a thought.
So we're only observing,
Okay,
Only observing,
Not commenting on that.
Oh hey,
I am meditating.
No,
That's not meditating,
That's commenting.
We are gonna not do that.
Okay,
Just all of this is just observation.
Just get in a state of I'm observing.
Alright,
And then later on today do it again at some point.
It doesn't have to be for three minutes but just in between your activities or whatever see if you can notice when your mind is quiet and just observe that without making a big deal about it.
Okay,
It's a good practice and it really can help with that quieting that narrative voice that likes to find fault and find problems.
Okay,
Alright,
Good luck today.
Thanks for being here.
